Pablo Ruiz y Picasso was one of the most superlative, talented and innovative artists of his time in the 20st century. Picasso was born in Malaga, Spain on October 25 of the year 1881, to Jose Ruiz y Blasco and Maria Picasso y Lopez. His full birth name is Pablo Diego Jose Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno Maria de los Remedios Cipriano de la Santisima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso, which was bestowed to him upon his baptism. Frida’s traumas early on in life did not allow her a long and lavished life, nor did her artistic career. Unfortunately, it was not until after her death, at age 43, that her work began to gain more recognition. But, regardless of lifespan or fame, these two artists left an impact on the world of art that continues to influence and inspired potential artists to come. Picasso granted the art world new, unique concepts of compositions and brought innovation to the table. Some impacts weren’t even art related. Frida was considered, to some, a feminist role model and inspiration; although her association with feminism is unclear. Pablo Picasso and Frida Kahlo were two incredible artists; strong, brave, talented and respected.
