What if all of your hard work was covered by the public? Everything you stood for and made. All of the time and dedication going into one thing, just for no one to see the whole piece or meaning of it. For a long time, art has been a way to express emotions, stories, a view of life, and so much more. Covering it hides the emotions, the stories, and whatever we put towards it. Censoring art has been a thing for a long time and it is something that should not be needed. Art has many ways to view it, and only focusing on one small thing loses its whole meaning and story behind it.

A lot of people say that it is good because it can keep children away from seeing bad things or be influenced into doing said bad things, along with keeping the viewers safe from things that should not be seen or heard for the public. Nowadays people are finding the work to be “too racy” and “pornographic” to the public. Censorship is a good thing because it protects disturbing content from the average person. “Censorship keeps a person from seeing, hearing or reading content that could be disturbing or inappropriate.” said Ferguson. Some forms of art such as rap songs or old biblical paintings can be too disturbing for some people. It is to an extent of the piece and the reasoning behind it
