It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Just kidding it is just almost time to vote that’s all. Therefore since it is voting season then that means that their are going to be a few changes for our nation as a whole. Please believe me when I say I know you may not be overly excited over either of the primary candidates becoming the new president of the United States of America. Honestly I feel where you are coming from but to tell the truth what I really want to talk about is my home state, the Diamond state, Arkansas. As I stated before, it is voting season which means that my attention is directed toward the Arkansas twenty-sixteen voting ballot. Yes there are many issues on the ballot. Am I saying that we should make Arkansas the next Las Vegas? No, but just think about it for a second. States that around Arkansas like Tennessee, Texas, and Oklahoma they are, for a lack of a better word, lit because they have professional sports teams. Which is entertaining and brings people to their state, and more people means more money. Also, I would like to point this out to my fellow redwolves. Wouldn’t it be nice to experience the fun of Vegas without having to go all the way to Vegas? Of course it would! Just imagine it, you call up some of friends and ask them if they wanna go out and do something different this spring break. You all went down to Florida and spent time at beach last spring, and you all have always want to go to a casinos but you all have heard the one in hot springs is trash and none of you guys have the money to make that trip to Vegas. Well if the “Arkansas Three New Casinos Amendment” is approved one of the casinos will be placed in the Fayetteville area. Now how awesome would it be to go hit the casino, win some money and then use the money you won and go to a razorback game that upcoming weekend. You are not a razorback fan you say? Well guess what? You are at a fayetteville casino and since you will already be in the northwestern part of Arkansas, so if you want to depending on how much money you and your friends end up winning at the casino, may be you all can make a trip to Oklahoma city to see the Thunder play. Now if you ask me that sounds like a pretty good
The United States is a privileged country with freedoms and opportunities many countries strive to achieve. People come into the United States in hopes to obtain these rights and make a better life for themselves; they strive to achieve “The American Dream.” Citizens are given the chance to vote, speak their mind, and live according to their desires without prejudice. However, the same government that promises hope has flaws that frustrate the American people; the Electoral College is one topic of debate. Many feel this system is a safe way to regulate who leads the country, while others feel that issues should be left to popular vote.

According to The Chicago Tribune “Close to 3,000 people have been shot in Chicago so far this year.”In 2016 chicago homicide rate was at an all time high, last year there have been reported 762 people died from gun violence,”3,550 shooting incidents, and 4,331 shooting victims.”Hundreds of people have died from gun violence every year and also a portion of the murder rate is made up of innocent people that have also died from a firearm violence. Also in the united states the number of fatalities from a firearm were “33,594” according to the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention.I believe we should ban the use of firearms because the number of people that die or get injured from a firearm keeps dangerously increasing each year.
When you look at yourself in the mirror, probably, you are wondering what is human nature, how does it affect us? We all say that men’s nature at birth is good. But the truth is we realize more and more darkness of humanity along with we grow up, and that changes us inattentively. Today, I would like to present human nature base on the transition of Charlie who is the main character in Craig Silvey’s ‘Jasper Jones’.
Ever since the fall, mankind has had a voracious desire for power and influence. People witness this desire within the walls of the Capitol Building when the media exposes backroom deals. It also springs up whenever a politician uses a podium to persuade people that he makes the world work. Politicians possibly rely on persuasion because they crave the power. However, persuasion is a manipulative, unBiblical tactic of forcing others to accept a point of view by all means necessary.
Welcome to America. Land of the free, home of the brave. A place they call the “land of opportunity”. Or more famously touted as the “American Dream”. It seems like by just hearing these phrases all you have to do is journey to America to make your dreams come true. That life will be easier by just being in America. Like America is the ice cream man with his truck that plays that all too familiar jingle. As soon as you hear it, like a child you are out of your house pining for his attention so that he may stop and give you the cool, sweet refreshment that everyone loves. Yet, forgetting that in order to get the sweet treat you need to pay. Because, no matter how friendly, nice, or inviting he is. He still needs to work, he still needs to keep his lights on, he has mouths to feed. That ice cream is not free. There is no free lunch.
This presidential election is the first time since 1996 a republican candidate has trailed by fewer than 13 points in Texas, and no Democrat has ever won Texas since Carter in 1976 (Content Display Issues). This election is a crazy one that I will always remember there have been a lot of swings this year mainly because of the new information that we keep finding out from each candidate. This election is wide open for any bodies taking, because every day you see new information about the candidates. You turn on the television and are talking about Clinton’s emails or some lady claiming something about Trump. These are for sure not two of the best candidates for President, but we don’t seem to have another choice. One of these people will be
Competitive reality shows are so popular because they challenge the contestants. After accepting the challenge the contestants must navigate their way through a myriad of obstacles with one goal in mind...winning. In order to win they have to break out of their comfort zone. We watch in excitement, we want them to win because they are working so hard.

For my “How to do” speech my goal was to share with the class an interesting and informative way to learn something new. Due to the speeches time limit, I knew I needed to be well prepared. I wanted to be less nervous before and during my speech. While presenting I was nervous, but I didn’t really have time for these feelings to sink in because I was focused on the information I wanted to share with the audience. I enjoyed presenting in the second group of speeches so I could see my peers different types of speaking style. The audience seemed alert and interested in my topic which made it a little bit easier for me to speak, because there weren’t any distractions in the room from people not paying attention. I think part of that was because
Well, a place where to live is essential for everybody. Today I am going to show you a less expensive, practical and ecofriendly solution for this basic but indispensable necessity.
Many people take for granted the opportunities they receive through the hard work of others, but this attitude needs to stop because it has become the “norm” for students to expect their teachers and professors to provide them with an education. While it is true that in the United States, students are required to attend school until the age of eighteen, many children around the world lack this luxury. This “right” is commonly looked down upon by students, because they do not have the motivation to succeed, as they did not have to work to get into school and to pay for their schooling. Everyone takes something for granted, whether it is an education, a roof over one’s head, food on the table, or the commencement speaker at one’s high school graduation, everyone forgets to be thankful. As Admiral McRaven stated, “But of all the things I remember, I don’t have a clue who the commencement speaker was that evening, and I certainly don’t
