Aristotle
Our world is very complicated and full of different miracles, phenomenas, enigmas. This unwittingly made people to think about nature, about their environment, about things surrounding them, about people around and relations with them, literally about everything. Humans’ minds are created in such way that understanding of the meaning of life, the nature of things, phenomenon of nature and life is quite necessary for existence and living.
During the world history some people were pretty successful in understanding and analyzing our world, these are different philosophers, thinkers, scientists from the beginning of the world and up to now. All of them were very important for development and formation of our modern world. Certainly, some of them were more significant, some of them less.
In my opinion one of the most important philosophers of world history is Aristotle. We can say for sure that his approach definitely played crucial role in formation of modern world, we live in. His range of interests was really wide, therefore Aristotle happened to be the first thinker to create a comprehensive system of philosophy, to cover all areas of human development: sociology, philosophy, politics, logic and physics.
Aristotle was born in Stagirus, an ancient Greek city on the Chalkidiki peninsula, in 384 BCE. His father, Nicomachus was personal doctor of King Amyntas of Macedon. In 369 BCE at the age of fifteen Aristotle left without parents. After Aristotle’s father died, Proxenus of Atarneus, became Aristotle’s guardian until he came of age.
At the age of 18, in 367 BCE Aristotle went to Athens in order to continue his education at Plato Academy. So, Aristotle was Plato’s student until Plato’s death in 347 BCE.

All of the definitions above are appropriate for Aristotle’s theories in all areas of his interest.
Aristotle is one of the most important figures in world history. The Ancient Greece has given us a lot of great people, but among them Aristotle, in my opinion, is the most influential and significant for development of philosophy and politics.
His approach shaped present political science, and every student of political science or philosophy department all over the world has to study Aristotle’s theories at first in order to understand further developments and ideologies.
Every year Forbes magazine publishes the rating of ‘100 the most influential people in the world’. If I would create my own rating but ‘100 the most influential and important people in the world history Aristotle definitely would be in that list.

One of the biggest influences of history comes from Ancient Greece, and a man by the name of Hippocrates. Furthermore, Plato, he used the Allegory of the Cave to show how Philosopher see the Absolute Truth and due to the fact how people perceive the truth and how people view of reality can be bound. Also, the Greeks contribution in Art, they used the Discuss Thrower, the Greeks Columns, and The Parthenon to show people how Greeks are good in sculpturing and to show the 3D-dimensional perspective. Lastly, is Democracy where people are the ruler also the Council of 500 of Cleisthenes because of this our civilization today has a direct democracy, without further do, Democracy, Art, and Philosophy has influenced our society astonishingly.
The man with the most impact that changed history was Thomas Paine. He created a pamphlet called Common Sense . Not only did he have an impact he had a somewhat negative life. His burial was very awful. Paines beliefs in religion was different from other people. That belief caused him to create a book the age of reason.
In U.S. history, there are an abundance of famous figures that shape the world we live in today. John Quincy Adams played a key role in the way our world operates. Adams’ early life, political career, and his legacy, has shaped and modernized the United States today.
Aristotle's ethics consist of a form of virtue ethics, in which the ethical action is that which properly complies with virtue(s) by finding the mean within each particular one. Aristotle outlines two types of virtues: moral/character virtues and intellectual virtues. Though similar to, and inspired by, Plato and Socrates’ ethics, Aristotle's ethical account differs in some areas.
The great Greek thinker Aristotle was born in 384 B.C. in Stagirus, a city in ancient Macedonia in northern Greece. At the age of eighteen Aristotle went to Athens to begin his studies at Plato's Academy. He stayed and studied at the Academy for nineteen years and in that time became both a teacher and an independent researcher. After Plato's death in 347 B.C. Aristotle spent twelve years traveling and living in various places around the Aegean Sea. It was during this time that Aristotle was asked by Philip of Macedon to be a private tutor to his son, Alexander. Aristotle privately taught Alexander for three years before he returned to Athens after Philip gained control of the Greek capital. During this period back in Athens Aristotle founded his own school, the Lyceum, where he taught for twelve years. In 323 B.C. Alexander the Great died and the Macedonians lost control of Athens. Aristotle was forced to leave and he died one year later in Chalcis, north of Athens, at the age of 62.
Aristotle is one of many world renowned philosophers He was a student of Plato who in turn studied under Socrates. We don’t have any written words from Aristotle himself but we know for certain that there are lecture notes from his students in which we can gain insight about his teachings.
Aristotle, the last of the great Greek philosophers. He roamed Ancient Greece from 384 BC until his death in 323 BC. In this time, he wrote an enormous amount of works, a variety of books from metaphysics to politics and to poetry. His variety is exceptionally impressive. His greatest known works are the Athenian Constitution and Nicomachean Ethics. Aristotle’s works of Ethics explore a vast area of topics. He states, “The goal of the Ethics is to determine how best to achieve happiness.” In order to achieve happiness, one must live a virtuous life, in the mind of Aristotle.
Another important individual who drove history was the Italian astronomer and scientist Galileo Galilei. Galileo discovered something so important that it changed the selfish perspective that humans were the center of the universe and led to the growth of human knowledge. Utilizing mathematics and a telescope he had developed, Galileo observed that the planets revolved around the sun and not the Earth. This was a significant discovery because not only did it contradict what the church had taught, it also showed that the universe was not what it seemed. With this truth uncovered, many people began to fascinate over the universe. This triggered people to begin studying space extensively and eventually lead to present day space exploration. Galileo also left a lasting impression upon many great minds, such as Sir Isaac Newton, who used Galileo's research and theories to further his own studies such as the physical laws, and their properties.

He was alive from 384- 322 B.C. Aristotle argued that everything is learned and nothing is innate. The first thing we learned about was Aristotle's idea of substance. Substance is anything that does not need a piggy back. An example of this would be a brown shirt. The shirt is a substance because it does not need the brown to be a shirt. Aristotle stated that the substance creates the universals, the substance is also more real than the universals. Aristotle famously rejected Plato’s theory of forms, Instead, he argued that forms are intrinsic to the objects and cannot exist apart from them, and so must be studied in relation to them. Like his teacher Plato, Aristotle's philosophy aims at the universal. Aristotle's ontology, however, finds the universal in particular things, which he calls the essence of things. For Aristotle, "form" still refers to the unconditional basis of phenomena but is "instantiated" in a particular substance. Aristotle discussed his theory of change which lead to the four causes in the change of the world. The material( matter) cause is the actual physical properties or makeup of a thing that is. It's the stuff we can see, touch, taste, and so on. The formal cause is the structure or design of a being. We can call it the blueprints, or the plan. The formal cause is what makes it one thing rather than another. The efficient(agent) cause is the thing or agent which actually brings something about. It's not what
Greek philosophers Aristotle and Plato were two of the most influential and knowledgeable ancients in our history. Their contributions and dedication to science, language and politics are immensely valued centuries later. But while the two are highly praised for their works, they viewed several subjects entirely differently, particularly education practices, and human ethics and virtue.
Although Aristotle grew up under the ideas of Plato, through time he began to develop his own theories and views about philosophical thoughts (Aristotle Biography, 2015). Aristotle believed that in order to understand the natural world to the fullest, one must use each of the five senses, all of which we use to this day. Aristotle also had his own views of the world, especially the astronomy of it. He believed the earth was at the center of the universe and the remaining planets, only 5 known at the time, were circling around it (Worldview of Ancient Greece - Socrates, Plato & Aristotle, n.d.). We know now that his views on this matter are not taught and the planets revolve around the
Aristotle made contributions to logic, physics, biology, medicine, and agriculture. He redesigned most, if not all, areas of knowledge he studied. Later in life he became the “Father of logic” and was the first to develop a formalized way of reasoning. Aristotle was a greek philosopher who founded formal logic, pioneered zoology, founded his own school, and classified the various branches of philosophy.
