There have been many advances in technology that have occurred and are continuing to occur since the turn of the century. Fortunately, most of them have been cost-effective and practical. These inventions have, because of their high convenience, become so integrated into the normal, daily life of humans. Some, however, are frequently debated upon. They are argued over because they are looked at by some as profitless innovations, and therefore unnecessary for mainstream use (Shahan). One such debated upon idea is the use of solar power to generate energy, and I believe its benefits do outweigh the costs. The use of solar power to generate any type of energy is referred to as solar energy. Solar energy is very beneficial to both nature and humans. This is because the amount of money being saved from this method of generating energy is drastically more than that being spent at the initial stage in very beginning (Shahan). According to research done by SolarWorld, one can save about half of their electricity bill if they were to switch to solar energy (Advantages of Solar Energy). Also, it won't damage the economy but in fact, will actually improve it immensely. This is because it will not only make people spend a lot short term and save a lot long term, but it will also provide jobs for many because of the amount of labor required to run this kind of system.
