Online fantasy leagues have been gaining popularity dramatically so why try to ban them at its peak? Fan Duel and Draft Kings began on 2009 and 2012. They improved fantasy leagues websites and made it one day leagues where you can win major prizes for dirt cheap entry. Recently states have been arguing that Fan Duel and Draft Kings should be considered as gambling and be banned. A majority of people think that it is gambling and they are out to target low class people. However fantasy league experts argue that it is a game of skill and requires a lot of thinking. Since fantasy sports leagues have started NBA and NFL revenues and views have boost in a major way. Players have been purchasing league passes to tune in to all the games. Which can help both business and leagues. NBA league commissioner Adam Silver has described his support for fantasy sports and how they should be used regularly. Silver says, there should be increased transparency for consumers. I think it would ultimately aid the industry. In fact, I think we’re seeing the marketplace impacted, because there’s not a clear regulatory framework right now (Silver). Adam Silver is saying if fantasy sports leagues were used regularly and trying to fight to be legalized or not they will be so much more successful. So banning fantasy sports not only affect people but it will affect organizations. Not just one organizations but football, basketball, baseball, college football and basketball. The websites are already up and running and obtaining more popularity. Athletes are still doing their best and games are going just as they should be. ProQuest staff argues that, fantasy sports inspire athletes to do well. It explains how fantasy leagues only became a problem once it became a problem (1).
