Even though conventionally grown foods are cheaper it is worthwhile to invest into buying organic foods because they are healthier. It has been proven that many organic foods dramatically reduce pesticide levels, lower cholesterol, and create a healthy environment. In addition, feeding the livestock with natural foods is more humane and allows the animals to avoid constant antibiotic injections. Organic foods are not only safer for our immune system but also better for the environment.
Most of the big, fast food corporations make the most money on the customers that want cheap, fast meals on the go. Usually customers with long work schedules primarily look for convenience and do not always think about the negative impact that eating conventionally grown foods will have on their health. Many times when people eat too much junk food or conventionally grown foods they become depressed, frustrated, or self-conscious. Being overweight many times affects the person’s self-esteem causing that individual to eat more. These foods are known as "comfort food", so this viscous cycle just continues. Also, the hormones and bacteria inside the conventionally grown food make a person feel lazy because of all the bloating and digestive problems. Organic food helps a person stay physically fit; feeling good and healthy helps to increase self-confidence. Studies show that people with an organic lifestyle show less aggression and are more open to socializing while subjects with unhealthy food show patterns of isolation and paranoia (Healthy Eating). Food also supplies power for your brain's stability. Without a proper diet of organic food, the process of learning and memorizing will become more difficult after a certain amount of time.
