Global warming is the term used to describe a gradual increase in the average temperature of the Earth 's atmosphere and its oceans, a change that is believed to be permanently changing the Earth’s climate. There is great debate among many people, and sometimes in the news, on whether global warming is real. While many view the effects of global warming to be more substantial and more rapidly occurring than others do, the scientific consensus on climatic changes related to global warming is that the average temperature of the Earth has risen between 0.4 and 0.8 °C over the past 100 years. The increased volumes of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases released by the burning of fossil fuels, land clearing, agriculture, and other human activities, …show more content…
Rosalind Peterson President and Co-founder of Agriculture Defense Coalition discussed other possibilities to why the temperature of the earth is continuing to rise. She spoke at a conference on Climate Change at the United Nations. Ms. Peterson also founded California Skywatch in 2002, when she began researching atmospheric testing and weather modification programs. At the conference, she spoke about agriculture and the negative impacts of experimental weather modification programs on trees and plant health. During her speech, she brought awareness of Geo-Engineering and climate control or what some may call Chemtrails. One of the many points she brings up is the fact that these chemicals that are sprayed in our skies is now showing up in our water. The chemicals, which most people mistake as contrails, are not all contrails. Contrails do not stay in the atmosphere for eighteen to twenty hours and they do not fan out, they dissipate. This chemical mixture unlike contrails have a different chemical make-up. Used as an aerosol in the atmosphere this effect applies an electromagnetic field as used by HAARP and ICECAT devices or other microwave radiating …show more content…
Though it is our planet’s greatest plentiful metal, our body has no organic requirement for it. Pesticide Action Network North America [PANNA] lists it as poisonous to humans. Yet, aluminum is frequently used in vaccines, deodorants and antiperspirants, over the counter medicines, can beer, baking powder, cake mixes, processed cheeses, and other food products and additives. Over time, aluminum gathers in the brain, tissues, and in bones. It eventually produces brain deterioration, dysfunction and harm, due to the obstruction of blood flow and oxygen of brain channels. As brain cells perish the brain starts to leak and shrinks, triggering dementia. The symptoms of dementia comprise of emotional outbursts, paranoia, amnesia and speech incoherence, irritability, reduced alertness, changes in personality, and poor judgment. All are on the climb, as more than 4-million Americans are stricken. Brain deterioration and dementia take years to produce critical and noticeable damage, but eventually as time goes on dementia is apparent and
Global warming is an increase of carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide and methane disrupting the earth’s ecosystem ultimately causing climate changes, this is just one of the tradeoffs of the modern life we live. Some doubt that global warming is a real issue despite the increasing natural disasters, freak weather and populations of species becoming extinct. Global warming is one of the challenges that we are facing today, it is much like the climate changes faced in the past but our climate is changing more rapidly. Wi...
Before a person can tackle handling the concept of global warming, they first must analyze the true definition of what it is. Climate change periodic modification of Earth’s climate brought about as a result of changes in the atmosphere as well as interactions between the atmosphere and various other geologic, chemical, biological, and geographic factors within the Earth 's system. (britannica) Since all 196 countries in the world have to share the oxygen and carbon dioxide, we all should take a part in the responsibility of taking care of earth. On November 6, 2012 President Obama said that we want our children to live in a world without the destructive power of a warming planet. The biggest challenge we face is not only saving a warming
The topic I choose is Global Warming. Global warming is a big issue on the earth. This is the issue that I am most worry about, because If we don’t do something right now, then is going to be too late. When I am in trips with my family there is always a place where people contaminate our environment and that make me feel bad. In the Amazons in Brazil, they have a very big deforestation issues. Claim; Although you only one person cannot, you can still help and participate in saving the rainforest for many reasons. They are killing thousands of trees everyday. Deforestation of the Amazon rainforest can be attributed to many different factors at local, national, and international levels. The rainforest is seen as a resource for cattle pasture,
How would you like to live in a home that is beginning to fall apart, but only to go on about your day and continue to neglect it until it all comes crashing down? Humans and animals share this beautiful planet that we call home. But this beautiful home of ours is being regularly and increasingly torn apart by our own ignorant actions. These actions of ours have begun to unravel the very world in which we live, causing a self-inflicted crisis known as Global Climate Change. Global Climate Change is a severe dilemma, and it is continuously becoming more evident to the world’s population that climate change is being caused by changes in the reflectivity of earth’s atmosphere and surface, the ever changing variations of energy from the sun reaching the earth, and the daunting increase in greenhouse gasses.
There is a lot going with Earth, it is constantly changing through climate change. Climate change is a global or regional change in climate patterns. It consists of changes in temperature, precipitation, humidity, winds, and seasons. The climate plays a fundamental role in shaping the economy, cultures, and Earth’s ecosystem. The climate is taking a hit due to global warming. Global warming is a bundle of carbon dioxide, water vapor, and methane that builds up heat in the atmosphere. As years gone by, global warming gradually began heating the Earth 's surface, ocean, and atmosphere. Although global warming is a problem not taken seriously or being known, people should be aware of the affects of global warming, how it is seen affecting the
Global warming is increasing temperature amongst the Earth where climate change is constantly happening because it is affecting the oceans as well as the natural environments. The Earth is constantly heating up is very detrimental to human beings because chemicals are let off into the universe where the sun rays are trapped beneath the Earth’s surface and in the air. It is a natural recurring process that can lead to erosion and the issue is going unnoticed. As the surface is heating up, places that have a lot of ice can leak into the granite. Due to the decreased temperatures in these areas, it can freeze between the rocks and as the average temperature from global warming is increasing, it can melt the frozen water. As a result, it will leave more space for the same process to happen again, which will drive the plates apart. We’ve been hearing about Global Warming for many decades, and we’ve been ignoring the issue. It is caused by an overload of Carbon Dioxide that is trapped within the earth. Global Warming is the Earth’s
Global warming! It’s killing our planet. Wake up America! Our planet as we know it is coming to an end! Why you may ask? Good question. I am just like you. I always thought global warming would just heat up our planet and that’s all. I did not realize how wrong I was. Have you ever wondered why our planet is having areas with major droughts, or why our planet is getting unusually hot, or even wondered why there are such weird weather conditions that are very unusual? Ranging from the devastating floods in China and the Philippines to droughts in Africa, the same extreme weather patterns that have hit the United States! There is a new report that says climate change has. annually, caused 400,000 deaths and
Some may notice that the weather is getting harsher with more frequent, large storms of all kinds. Some might say that it is nature trying to fight back for what is theirs. Others might blame these occurrences on global warming or climate change. Awareness has been raised about this issue more recently, but what is global warming? Global warming is the term used to describe the increasing of Earth 's average surface temperature over time (Johnson, R., 2009, p. 6). The greenhouse effect is a way of describing the science behind climate change. In the greenhouse effect, greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide, get trapped under Earth 's atmosphere (Hynson, C., 2010, p. 42). Carbon dioxide is a gas that is produced by all living things when they breathe, as well as a waste product from fossil fuels (Hynson, C., 2010, p. 42). Although the main concerns about global warming are related to the rise of carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide are increasing rapidly in the atmosphere as well. Methane traps 23 times as much heat as carbon dioxide does, while nitrous oxide is 300
Climate change and global warming is a highly debated subject. There are people on both side with strong opinions. People who believe in climate change are sometimes labeled as alarmists, while those who think that climate change is a hoax are referred to as deniers. Some people like to argue about existence of climate change with the help of scientific data, others respond to these data with skepticism and alternative science. At this point, topic of climate change has almost become like a football match with passionate supporters on both sides. Sometimes argument can be reasonable, other times it transcends into a slapfight. Hyperboles and exaggerations are often employed by both teams. Simon barnes in “We are heading towards a world without
Global warming and global climate change is the study of future increases of temperature across the globe. Studying climate change refers to how the over- all climate will change such as the dry places getting dryer and the wet places getting wetter. Global climate is dependent on “the greenhouse effect a natural process that helps regulate temperature” (Easterling and Karl). In the past few centuries humans have had a monumental effect on increasing of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Climate change is result of the increase amount of the greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere such as methane, carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide, and ozone. “Global temperature has rose approximately 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit over
Climate change is a long-term change in regional or global climate patterns. From the mid twentieth century to now, it has mostly been about a significant increase in average global temperatures. Climate change is a major issue in the world today, and a lot of people feel very differently about the cause of it. The common argument about it is whether climate change is a natural occurrence or if the recent increase in temperatures is because of humans. Climate change is a natural cycle in the Earth’s weather. Before humans started burning fossil fuels, there were still weather cycles on Earth that were as hot or hotter than what it is now. In fact, Earth’s weather now, is on pace with the previous weather patterns in history. Human emitted
In recent years, climate change has been a controversial topic. Many people, including country leaders argue that the change is real and irreversible, while others claim it is a tactic to envoke fear among people. Climate change is defined as, “a change in the typical or average weather of a region or city” (nasa). Their is remarkable evidence for both sides of the debate which raises the arguable question, is climate change real? In this essay, I will explain both arguments of the topic about the controversy that surrounds climate change. For argumentative paper you must also develop your own position and defend your point of view on this topic. In your intro please provide a clear thesis statement.
Climate change is one of the most discussed topics of the twenty-first century. Although this subject is very often on the daily basis of lots of people, most of them do not know much about it. So let us define climate change. People think that climate change is the same thing as global warming. However, global warming only represents one aspect of climate that is temperature. Climate change is any significant change in temperature, precipitation, or a wind pattern that occur over several decades or longer.
In the modern era, climate change is a variation of weather over a long period of time, and it is the most important and controversial global issue. It is arguable in different positions, especially on science, culture, and politics. These three fields all cause a lot of latent concerns. The science of climate change brings out several harmful phenomenon, such as global warming. With respect to the climate change, the culture of humanity may be changed because the changing climate is the most important key factor of forming today’s human societies. Instead, climate change is now a political issue, which will affect the public attitudes directly. In other words, it means the government tends to review and provide latest information in order to adapt and retard the climate change. Over a long period of time, climate change has been taking place because of human activities that affect the scientific, cultural, and political sides.
Global Warming One of the most substantial problems in the world today is global warming. This gradual warming of the earth is in occurrence at an extremely slow rate but it is happening. Many scientists believe that as human’s work and release greenhouse gases into the earth’s atmosphere, it can become dangerous for the long lasting life of humans and our environment. “Unless we take immediate action, the impacts of global warming will continue to intensify, grow ever more costly and damaging, and increasingly affect the entire planet - including you, your community, and your family” (“Global Warming Impacts”).
