If anything a President should be putting their people before their own needs, in voters eyes. Donald Trump cares about how popular he is and his own wealth. He is not concerned with what the people need, when it comes down to the truth, which makes him an unfit candidate for the 2016
This is why Dole's complaints are ineffective in convincing voters. In my opinion, I think that Stengel is correct in saying that the reason why Dole's attacks are not working is voters are not concerned with the President's personal shortcomings, but rather his capability of running the country, and the two are not always closely related. I think that Bob Dole is going about the whole issue all wrong, and his tactics are not practical and may even backfire. He is trying to make Clinton look bad by insulting his character, but in doing so, Dole is revealing a lot about his own. Take for instance the issue of Clinton and his playful attitude
Donald Trump has been a bad influence to the United States that doesn’t deserve to be president. The entire thing he has done during his running doesn’t show that is able to be president. Trump is an arrogant person that doesn’t deserve to be president and doesn’t deserve to be able to run a country; he is acting like a child he is not mature to run for
Our local government tries to reduce crime and to help the public safety; where they focus on tribal, state, local, and federal government needs. The political ideology is that it would fall under the liberal since they are pro government in the innervation. This is against Donald Trump in the view of since he is a conservative; which is laissez faire meaning leaving them alone to figure things out for themselves. One example of a way Donald Trump would disagree with my interest group would be the economic vision: winning the global competition. The reason why is because economic vision is enhanced about no regulation, but their own choice without the government.
Who knows if Trump would make a good president or not, the only way we will know is if he gets elected. But if he does get elected we can only hope he does good things for the country and addresses a plan to get us out of debt with other countries like he says he is going to. I cannot make your vote for you, but I can persuade you to vote in the proper direction. Everyones views are different on everything especially when it comes down to politics. But anyone in my opinion other than Trump for president would be a major mistake considering the major financial crisis we are in throughout our country.
Tompkins is incorrect about Johnson because he was a bad president, no matter the time, or congressman in charge. Johnson let his personal vendetta against aristocrats and view of African Americans cloud his judgment. Also he did not work with moderates even though they desired to work with him, which would have given him more support in Congress. Plus he knowingly got himself impeached and did not care. A President should put the country before himself and the presidency also requires him to provide stability of the Government.
Electoral College is Wrong The Electoral College is the name given to a group of electors who are nominated by political activists and party members within the states. The electoral college really isn't necessary and should be abolished. There are numerous reasons why this is so. With the Electoral College in affect third parties don't have a chance to become the president, which isn't fair. Electors are expected to be honest but in the past our country has caught some untruthful ones.
Therefore, the winner-take-all system inaccurately represents the will of the American citizens since not all candidates garner any electoral votes. On the other hand, a popular vote for the president could lead to many runoffs if neither candidate reaches a majority, creating a bigger opportunity for voter fraud and manipulation of the vote, which would not truly represent the will of the people, states, or country. The Electoral College sometimes fails to represent the national popular vote because states use the winner-take-all approach and not some proportional method for the representation of its voters. However, the Founding Fathers were not too keen on
Article Recap: During the Republican National Convention, Donald Trump continued to promoted message of populism, division, and fear aimed that the business leaders on Main Street and Wall Street along with how rule of law was no longer found in the United States and illegal immigrants wonder the streets free like some damages virus. Trump has been unwilling to change his tone towards several of topics, which might become the downfall of him on election day. It is believed that he will be unable to win over states like Florida what is primary made up of immigrants and ethnic minorities. Beside attitude towards immigrants, Trump has expressed a strong view on free trade and will increase further difficult for him on election day and to gain
Electoral College The Electoral College is not important in choosing the president of the United States. I agree with this because it should matter what the voters say, this is a democracy and it should be the people’s final choice, and if the Electoral College changes the voters’ choice then they will be the ones to blame if our country goes haywire. The Electoral College has a final say in which president will be chosen. It’s not right because if the majority of the voters choose one president and the Electoral College chooses another then most of the voters will be upset. They chose that certain president for a reason and it would just be a waste of their time if the candidate they voted for didn’t get elected.
