Abstract
Autistic children have beautiful minds but struggle to show what is in their mind. It takes years for an autistic child’s brain to develop, with a lot of hard work from the child and the family. Having autism is a daily struggle for anyone involved and takes many people to help the child. Educational classes can be taken, and family can help the child also from home. Symptoms are the first signs of autism, then come the behavior changes. After that, treatment can be done to help the child develop. “More synapses also create opportunity for epileptic seizures because there are more electrical signals being transmitted in the brain, Dr. Klann said. More than a third of people with autism have epilepsy” (Belluck, 2014). There are many things caused by autism, so the child doesn’t only struggle from being autistic, but also other things, epilepsy for example.“A study published last week found that the brains of autistic children show abnormalities that are likely to have arisen before birth, which is consistent with a large body of previous evidence” (Wang, 2014). This is true, because with today 's technology, finding brain abnormalities before a child is born is able to be done. Autism can be explained as having autism risk genes, everyone has them, and are needed for normal function. Autism is caused by more than one gene acting together, and if paired with a certain gene can result in Autism (Wang, 2014). This can be explained by everyone having a certain card, and it is in all of us, but some have that one card paired with another. This results in an abnormality, being autism. This is why sometimes in twin babies one can be autistic, and the other have a normal developing brain. This is true with all kids, its just the genes, or “cards” are paired
