At the start of September, Donald Trump terminated a program and in turn put fear into the hearts of nearly 800,000 people and their friends and family. Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, was a program that was made to replace the DREAM Act (a policy that was not approved by Congress which would have created a path towards citizenship for “illegal” immigrants that came to the United States as children). DACA was put into effect in 2012 by former President Barack Obama through an executive order. This policy protects immigrants who, as children, were either illegally brought to the United States or were brought legally but then stayed past their visas’ expiration dates. DACA provides this specific group of immigrants with protection from deportation, a social security number, and a work permit; however, it is not a way of gaining legal status. Not only are the qualifications for eligibility specific and limiting, but the application process itself is expensive, extensive, long, and it has to be done every two years.

People have often speculated what is inside and what exactly goes on inside the gates, but no one really knows, except the people who have worked there and are sworn to secrecy. Have you ever felt stuck? Wherever you are, it’s the absolute last place you want to be. In the book Into the Wild, Chris McCandless feels stuck just like the average everyday person may feel. Chris finds his escape plan to the situation and feels he will free himself by going off to the wild. I agree with the author that Chris McCandless wasn’t a crazy person, a sociopath, or an outcast because he got along with many people very well, but he did seem somewhat incompetent, even though he survived for quite some time.
The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, shields about 800,000 illegal immigrants from deportation. Though many people think illegal immigrants bring crime, DACA recipients bring almost no crime rates to this country. Many DACA recipients were brought to the United States unwillingly at a young age. As adults, DACA recipients do the duties of any other citizen, but they are not allowed to become citizens. DACA recipients, or Dreamers, should become citizens because they give little to no threat to the United States, have little relation to their ‘home’ country, and perform the rights of any citizen.
With recent events and governmental shut down, the DACA program is something constantly coming up in conversations today. Moreover, President Trumps decision to end the safety of those who are applicants of DACA. This recent change does not only effect people enrolled, but everyone in The United States. I strongly argue, the DACA program remains in place for the sake of young “dreamers” lives, and Americas economy.
There are many conspiracies that people say have happened at the Roswell crash in the summer of 1947 in Roswell New Mexico. Nobody knows what really happened at the crash in Roswell New Mexico but, many people say that the thing that had crashed there was a UFO and or a flying saucer which mean there being aliens. I went onto Google and typed in ‘Is the government hiding aliens?’ and around 625,000 results appeared in 0.74 seconds. I clicked on the second result which took me to www.dailymail.com.uk which talked about how an old defense minister claims that aliens have visited earth before and that the government is most definitely hiding them. The next website I explored was www.telegraph.com and the value of their website was very important. I learned that Area 51 supposedly does not do research on aliens, but a NASA worker claims that there is aliens the government is hiding.
