In today's age did you know that the crime rate is way higher than in the 60s? Life in today's society is worse because because the crime rate is very high and more people are getting hurt.

This explains how other people believe and know that there was peace and love in the 60s. Another way i can prove that answer is because the rate of the murders has changed since the 1960s.
