“More than two-third of four year olds and more than forty percent of three year olds were enrolled in preschool in 2005 (Beth Kanter).” Although parent can teach their children, all children should go to preschool because they can get more education and knowledge and be ready succeed. Children can learn how to behavior in public. There are so many benefit in preschool. All children should go to preschool because they can get more education and knowledge. They also can get ready and prepare to go to school. When they go to school they can start to learn how to read and write like alphabet and number so it will be easy for them to go to school because they already learn things before they go to school.
Homeschooling is often portrayed as an overprotective mom - unwilling to let her kids leave her for a day at school, and a large number of children, all unable to hold a conversation, let alone function normally in society. As someone who was homeschooled from kindergarten through eighth grade, I can attest that my homeschool experience was the exact opposite of this confining stereotype.
Children need preschool in its most basic essence: to define motor skills, achieve basic socialization skills, and to learn the alphanumeric system that will undoubtedly help improve their understanding in the grades to come, allowing for the advances in education that America desires and certainly needs. Making preschool mandatory as part of the education reforms that America so desperately requires will combat the lack of educational programming that exists and allow children to receive education at a younger age than they would have in a home where education is not a main family focus.
There are a few types of preschool programs. First there are structured preschool programs that focus on emphasizing an actual school setting and classroom activities in order to prepare the child for kindergarten or first grade. There are also day care centers, which are not as structured as preschool centers. Daycare’s focus mainly on child’s development through social interaction with children and caregivers. Then there are head start programs that are geared to give children a foot in the right direction in order to be ready for preschool or kindergarten. The right kind of childcare can be a wonderful opportunity to promote the profound learning children experience from birth through age five (Selecting child care, 2002).
Children are our future and they should be given every possible opportunity to succeed in life even if they are born into disadvantaged situations. Sometimes the families of certain children can’t provide as much as other children’s families and this can create a gap in the achievement and development of these children. Those disadvantaged children need special programing that accommodates for the lack of cognitive and social development that if not properly addressed could lead to poor school performance and delinquency.
Children who are in preschool are generally between the ages 3 to 5. During this preschool age, children go through many different changes and stages of development. The development that occurs in this stage, just as in other stages, supports the child and sets a foundation for future development. The child goes through physical, psychosocial, cognitive, moral, and various other types of development during this stage of life.

It is in preschool where children learn the necessary skills needed to succeed in school and in life. With high-quality preschools and qualified teachers the possibilities are endless. It's not only the children who reap the benefits of Early Childhood Education; their parents, fellow peers, and even society feel the positive effects of quality preschool programs. Children enrolled in quality preschool programs are more likely to succeed academically and socially when they are older.
From the perspective I have at this stage in my journey in the early childhood education field, I would like to share what I have come to value and believe in regards to early learning and care by looking at my philosophy statement. To begin we will look at the statement and highlight three key features and find out why they are important to me, then we will see what they will look like in my practice, and lastly we will examine these ideas closely by looking at where they originated. By taking an in-depth look at my philosophy statement we will better understand the motivation behind my practice which I hope to continue to refine and refresh as I gain more knowledge and experience.
It is more important to ensure that a child is participating in oraganized activities. A couple reasons why is putting children in those activities gives that child a healthy attitude towards things now and in the future , also these activities give children a chance to meet new people who share the same intrest as them. People have been constantly at war over whether high school should commence at 10:30 and end at 4:30. However adjusting school schedules would be disadvantageous and result in many unwanted struggles. Consequently. if school commenced later and ended later it would give students less time to study in the afternoon, furthermore, it would decrease the amount of extra curricular activities for students and finally it would encourage students to party at night and later at night because they have time in the morning. To sustain a safe and educational learning environment, the schedule should remain the way it currently is. Cities all over Canada start earlier and have been for many years and has proven to create strong and educated graduates.
