Albert Einstein once said, “It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity.” Einstein is saying that technology has become more important to people than being a human has. Losing touch with other people can be caused by cellphones, instant messaging, and email. Technology can lead to poor social skills, cyberbullying, and can be a threat to a person’s privacy; however, it also has its perks in school, the workplace, and at home every day. New ways to teach students or children at home are made all the time due to technology. There are also new discoveries in medicine that would not be possible without technology. The real question people should be asking is whether or not the perks of technology outweigh the downsides of it? Technology has led to private things going viral. No matter what is used, somebody somewhere is watching what is going on or is able too. Nothing is ever completely gone after using a computer. Digital data never goes away and can be found if looked for hard enough. The saying “it’s a thing of the past” can no longer be said due to technology. …show more content…

Technology can help students learn better by keeping them better involved or forcing them to stay on task. Teachers can use certain programs to find out what a student’s weaknesses are and aim at them to improve and make their weaknesses strengths. Software can also be used to tell parents how their student is doing in class and let them know what they need to improve on or if they are missing class. Parents can then take needed action to help better their child and the child’s future. Online classes can now be taken to earn credit hours that are not taught at a school. This allows students to cut down some time in college by going in as a sophomore. Technology has helped improve student learning greatly and keeps students involved and paying attention in
