April Henry doesn’t really give a whole lot of information, at the beginning of the book. Throughout the book, you learn about the characters, where the setting is, learn about the plot, and about the moral of the story. The Body In The Woods takes place in Portland, Oregon. The three main characters are a part of the SAR, which is a search and rescue program. The SAR helps search for lost or missing people. With them being a part of the SAR, they are mostly found in the Forest Park. The Forest Park is the main setting in the story, because it is where everything takes place. Forest Park is a wide park, that is mostly wooded area with few trails. The SAR found a body in the park, when they were out on a search and rescue. The body they found was a girl that had been killed. When more killings begin to happen, the three main characters make it their duty to find the killer and bring him to justice. …show more content…

When they found the body, they automatically started looking for clues as to why the person was killed. They wanted to find anything that looked suspicious so that they could search for the killer. When they were looking for clues as to who the killer was, the killer caught on to them. The killer realized that he was being followed up on, and he made it his obligation to get to the main characters instead. The killer got a hold of one of the main characters in the woods, where he killed his second victim.
