Appendicitis
Appendicitis is inflammation of the appendix, caused by a foreign object, stools, and even infections. The appendix is a 3 1/2 inch long tube of tissue that extends from the large intestine, with no known functions. We all can live without the appendix with no apparent consequences. There is no known reason why people may suffer from appendicitis, but people at the age of 10 to 30 years old are more at risk for appendicitis, especially males. Heredity of appendicitis is not known. If left untreated it can cause severe pain and consequences like ruptured of the worm like tube and a pocket of pus may form, leading to death.
Symptoms
Symptoms may vary depending on the person or on the stage of appendicitis. The most common symptoms are dull, sharp, cramp like pain in the lower right abdomen, loss of appetite, nausea and vomiting, swelling, high fever, inability to pass gas, constipation and/or diarrhea.

Kate Chopin is very well known for her extremely unique writing. Not only are her works striking of feminism, but the way she approached topics were not easily tolerated at that time especially for her gender. Many of her stories tie into marriage and the unhappiness that it brings. In Desiree’s Baby Chopin says, “And the very spirit of Satan seemed suddenly to take hold of him…” Comparing the woman’s husband to that of Satan shows the intensity of disgust between the two in the relationship. Strong statements such as these are often seen in “The Storm” and “The Story of an Hour.” In Chopin’s life she was married, and her stories lead me to believe that she viewed her marriage as a trap and suffered from lack of privacy and control. Despite how provoking Chopin’s works were she was long ignored by readers and critics until her stories hit the surface in the 1960’s and became more popular. The women in her stories are constantly seeking freedom, lust, and attention.

Diverticulosis indicates the presence of diverticula that are not inflamed. Diverticulosis by itself can go unnoticed due to lack of symptoms and can be caused by something as simple as straining the bowel during constipation. Diverticulitis is defined as having diverticula that are both present and inflamed. This condition occurs when the diverticulum becomes blocked with waste and bacteria are allowed to accumulate, causing infection to occur. The last condition, diverticular bleeding, occurs when the small blood vessels surrounding the diverticula are chronically damaged (West).

women long-distance racers were more likely to report a past history of an eating disorder than the control population and that reported in the general population. We cannot say that running was responsible for the development of the eating disorder. It may be that running can prevent or control eating disorders. High achieving, disciplined, organized women with a history of an eating disorder may be attracted to long-distance running. The method of defining a case was based simply on the respondent replying affirmatively to the questions “Do you have a history or bulimia/” and/or “Do you have a history of anorexia nervosa?” This method of case definition is based on a history of such a disorder and does not necessarily reflect an active problem.
