If a zombie apocalypse were to happen, it will be terrifying for everyone in the world. No human will be able to figure out what to do by themselves or survive either by themselves. If more people work together, unit, and think of plans of what to do, they might be able to survive a zombie apocalypse. My team and I have come up with 3 factions that will help us survive the zombie apocalypse, not survive for sure but have a probability of surviving. We have plans to survive a zombie apocalypse which is an Action Plan, Work Schedule, Sound Device that lures the zombies away, Sound Device that repels the zombies away, and Sound Device that hides us from the zombies. With all of those plans we need to come up with an idea of how we can use them together and see if we can survive by doing all those task works.
8/29 + 13/100 + 4/25 + 17/300 = 0.6225 = 62.25%
This is the first equation for my faction. The probability of us surviving is 62.25 percent which is really good and I will be able to survive. The action plan is going to help us in deciding how we’re going to survive, the steps and plans we need to do in order to find the needs we need. The sound device we will use is Triston 's sound device which is a tank with lots of horns that are extremely loud that can harm the zombies ears really bad which would force them to walk away from our headquarters. A Work schedule is going to help a lot during the zombie apocalypse because everyone will have a task to find stuff we need like water, food, shelter, and guns. The work schedule is going to also save us a lot time too. The conic device that is going to hide us from the zombies is Austin’s Hyperbola tower. His tower will be able to hide only humans and only humans can get in, which...

...ugh for everyone to survive because the chances are 49% which is not good at all.
A zombie apocalypse will be hard to survive by yourself, but working with other people will be much better and easier. After doing the 3 factions we figured out that the best faction of us surviving will be faction number that uses all the plans in order to survive. The plan that faction number 2 uses are Action Plan, Work Schedule, Sound Device that lures the zombies away, Sound Device that repels the zombies away, and Sound Device that hides us from the zombies. By using all those plans and picking faction number 2 we have a probability of surviving by a percentage of 67.65 percent. This result will give us the ability to stay alive and survive the zombie apocalypse. Thanks to the math we used for this event were able to survive and stay alive by doing task works that help a lot.
World War Z was written as a collection of stories from all around the world about the war against zombies. These stories cover the events that happened before and after the war. I really appreciate how Brooks took the initiative to describe the initial stages of the infestation all the wa...
If you want to know to survive the zombie apocalypse here is some useful tips. One, use a silent weapon, preferably a knife unless you have to use a gun. Two, adapt to your surroundings and use them against your enemies alive or dead. Three, buddy system the more the merrier. Four, no matter what, you are surely going to need canned food because the rest is probably going to be rotten. Five, repopulation even if it sounds nasty about 9/10 of the human population is going to be zombies, but be careful babies can attract zombies. Six, be a hero because those people screaming for help are precious for survival. These are all very important rules, but here are some really important tips.
Choosing the right weapon can make a difference between a dead zombie or becoming one yourself. Always keep a weapon on you or around you at all times. Maybe even more than one. Some weapons include a gun, knife, bow and arrow, and any sharp object any item around you could mean life or death. Fighting a zombie is not only dangerous but it’s suicidal. If your weapons are out of reach you will have to fight them off. Use blankets and pillows to wrap your legs, torso, and arms so it is harder for the zombies to get
Zombies interfere with human emotions. The response that humans have for zombies is obviously negative. Drezner says, “Zombies are often assumed to lack intelligence, but it should be noted that humans frequently respond to new undead situations with confusion and ignorance.” Drezner mentions a psychological attribute known as “hawk bias.” Hawk bias means that people have the tendency be more aggressive with their actions when faced with confrontation. When policymakers are threatened with a possible loss, they would be willing to take riskier actions to “preserve the status quo.” Hawk bias would be bad for human international relations, but possibly very successful for zombies. Drezner suggests that a policy option would be for human governments to use psychological treatments to treat the zombies. While that does sound intriguing and risky, the hope is that the zombies will not devour the humans before they are successfully
Trust me, you won't most recent two days! It's not about getting by in the zombie end of the world any more, it's about winning this war.
The title of document 5 is ¨Pentagon document lays out battle plan against zombies.¨ The pentagon is where the U.S. military headquarters are. This shows that the government is prepared for a zombie apocalypse. The government has a document that they have ¨as a training tool used in an in-house training exercise where students learn about the basic concepts of military plans and order development¨ (document 5). This shows that The government puts military personnel through training exercises if the zombie appocalypse. Some of the parts to the training exercise include ¨ raising zombie awareness, recalling all military personnel to their duty stations, deploying reconnaissance teams to ascertain the general safety of the environment and restoring civil authority after the zombie threat has been neutralized¨ (document 5). The military even has the knowledge as to how to kill a zombie in worst case scenario ¨concentrate all firepower to the head, specifically the brain, … The only way to ensure a zombie is 'dead' is to burn the zombie corpse¨ (document 5). So, to ¨kill¨ a zombie you need to shoot out the zombie´s brains out then burn the corpse. The government really plans for the worst case scenario because there are ¨plans for how to deal with hospitals and other medical facilities infiltrated by zombies¨ (document 5). One way the government will deal with
This whole reading uses numerous metaphors to illustrate its idea. The author Eric King Watts unfolds his thoughts step by step. And all of his ideas begin with the book Zombie Survival Guide (ZSG).
Death is the scariest part of living. Humanity has always been acutely aware of this horrible inevitability, and as a result of this almost near obsession with mortality certain practices, precautions, and even religions have been developed to ease the weary minds on death. Self- preservation, preparedness and survival motivate almost faction of human interest and behavior but becoming prepared for the conceivable anything and asking all the “what if” questions in the world still might not save humanity when analyzing how many devastating catastrophes can essentially wipe out life on this planet with ease. Not hard to imagine, mass extinction in history has happened at least five times estimated as far back as 440 million years ago at the end of the Ordovician Period. (Sjøgren) Most people expect to live a long and fulfilling life and eventually die naturally, peacefully surrounded by family and friends, but what if the Grim Reaper takes on another form, a zombie? At first the idea seems comical, but can one be completely sure this ghoulish creature could not be created. Only the foolish would deny that a zombie apocalypse is more than plausible. To analyze this realization completely is crucial to not only the survival of the human race but the entire planet as well. This thesis focuses on zombie popularity in culture and media, how an outbreak could come about, human zombie preparedness, how nature would stack up against the undead, and ultimately given the evidence which would survive the apocalypse, the living or the undead?
I remember the shriek, a blood curdling shriek that tore at your eardrums. My initial thought was that someone had gotten hurt very badly but i remember everyone staring at me and i felt a presence behind me, i saw people running away and i immediately turned around to face a very pale looking man, almost like a corpse. He had blood stained teeth and dark circles around his eyes. i remember that day so clearly, it was terrifying, the man's eyes were black, pure black, and he had bite wounds up his arms, human bite wounds... i was only looking at him for a second but it felt like ages, after the second passed i remember standing up and running across to the other end of the room, everyone was running out of the cafe. Back then i didnt know what was going on but the man was a zombie, the woman that shrieked, she was his victim, i saw her on the ground that day, she was laying on the ground with bite wounds. back then i had no idea that she was going to turn into a zombie, but that woman did, she was bitten, if you get bitten then you shift into one of them. I don't know how the apocalypse started but that day was the first day anyone in ireland had ever seen a zombie. It was all over the news, every where, they kept saying get to shelter, it seemed like zombies were everywhere after that day, the virus spreaded so quickly. I remember packing my bags,i packed essentials
Though fictional, this novel illustrates the fear surrounding disease, viruses, and contamination and how if uncontrollable, could lead to a global spread that could jeopardize the human race. Traveling internationally, World War Z represents a zombie epidemic that brings forth infection, which can be considered an unconscious actor during this time of confusion and destruction. Scientifically, fear is defined as a natural response found in almost all organisms that revolve around the emotions and feelings induced by perceived threats and danger. Max Brooks illustrates the societal interaction with fear, “Fear of aging, fear of loneliness, fear of poverty, fear of failure. Fear is the most basic emotion we have. Fear is primal. Fear sells. That was my mantra. ‘Fear sells.’” (Brooks 55). The fear of a zombie virus spreading in fact just produces more fear into the mind of the individual. Through research and scientific advancements, fears and anxieties have been proven to put an individual more at risk of developing health issues. How ironic, right? Our fears and anxieties surrounding diseases and the spread of them cause our society to be more susceptible to obtain and contract more health related problems. The fight against the zombie metaphor within World War Z gives the reader a purpose for finding a way to hold
On the FEMA website, there is an article that explains this plan the CDC has. One such guideline that the CDC offers is that “you should sit down with your family and come up with an emergency plan. This includes where you would go and who you would call if zombies started appearing outside your door step.” (Doc. 2, Line 23) The reasoning to come up with a family plan is to make sure your family knows what to do and who to call in the case of an emergency like that. The CDC has even created an emergency kit for the zombie apocalypse, including items like Water (1 gallon per person per day), Food (stock up on non-perishable items that you eat regularly), Medications (this includes prescription and non-prescription meds), Tools and Supplies (utility knife, duct tape, battery powered radio, etc.)” (Doc. 2, Lines 14-17) among other items. The relevance of these items are so in the case of the apocalypse, you have a supply of things to keep yourself alive for long periods of time. While you cannot fully predict how the zombie apocalypse will go down, if you follow these ideas, you will at least be prepared in case of an emergency, contributing to your
“Zombie killings are similar to reading and deleting 400 work e-mails on a Monday morning or filling out paperwork that only generates more paperwork, or following Twitter gossip out of obligation, or performing tedious tasks in which the only true risk is being consumed by avalanche” (41). These are all similar to zombie killings because zombies will never go away unless you turn to really harsh tactics like aiming for one’s brain with a shot gun and repeating this for every zombie you come in contact with. In order to clear those 400 emails after reading them you must repeat the steps for each and every one, which is time consuming and can be very frustrating. Completing paperwork is very tedious, and can sometimes become overwhelming you may begin to feel as if it will never end which is common well it can feel similar to that when it comes to zombie killings as well because there will be one zombie followed by another one and many more to come. “Battling zombies is like battling anything….. Or everything” (42). Never assume the war is over because it is not, there will be one or more zombies hiding out, the war is never over. “The zombies you kill today will merely be replaced by the zombies of tomorrow” (44). Zombies are a “live-stock” they are brain dead but they travel in packs and have no limit as to how far they will go. In the movie Dawn of the Dead the zombies actually
A zombie apocalypse is absolutely a possibility. When take a closer look there are many possibilities to which an apocalypse could happen. All though it may not be as Hollywood or video games have led us all to believe. The whole lumbering, brain-dead corpse thing has become a little overrated now-a-days, at least for me anyway. Today when we think about a zombie apocalypse we think of popular video games or movies released by some truly sick and demented people, who by the way probably have way too much time on their hands. There are many possibilities to where a human can be turned into a “zombie”. Disease, disease has been with humans as long as humans have lived in this Earth. When we look all throughout history we can see the evolution of disease. In England during the Middle Ages the Bubonic Plague is a perfect example. It hit the British pretty hard, took them absolutely by surprise. They had never seen anything like that in the past, there was never any way to treat the disease, you just avoided it, and as soon as you were infected, as far as the rest of the world was concerned, you were already dead. Egypt, another good example, there has been recently discovered hieroglyphs revealing a depiction of what appeared to be a horde of zombies. The scribes wrote it describing them as possessed and ferocious. Some people say zombies, while others say the product of an overactive imagination. Let’s take a look at today’s possible “zombie” diseases.
You don’t want to die alone now do you? Grab a partner or a friend as a meat shield so you can run away while they stand there getting slaughtered. Make sure you find some shelter and a nice secure door so they won’t be able to get in because zombies love breaking the doors down. If you’ve lost your mind because you’re not smart, you might hide in a house and be scared to death. Use your brain and go out there! Your brain might not be the most powerful tool for fighting, but you might’ve been dead before you could even fight with your brain. Fight ‘till every last zombie has died or until you died because your brain probably won’t help you at all with math equations, and writing essays because that’s not the point in the zombie
Now a high-school senior, I still remember my freshman year with a shudder; it was the year my friends and I joked about as the "Year of the Zombie." It wasn't that I had contracted a rare medical disorder that transformed me into one of the walking dead. I had done what many diligent students do: sacrifice most of my sleep time for the sake of academic success.
