Now, to the layman, that appears simply to be a frame up – when you arrest and charge and find the evidence subsequently. To make matters worse, when we examine the manner in which that evidence was put forward by the prosecution (a matter for which the director of Public Prosecutions must be held responsible), we find some startling inconsistencies, strange and frightening things. Like one man giving three statements. – two of them before Arnold Rampersaud was arrested, never mentioning the accused or anything to do with the accused. A third statement made after he had been arrested conveniently mentions the accused.
When driving through Pasco, it will not take long before the homeless can be spotted all around. They can be found asking for money on main roads, seeking shelter under abandoned buildings, and wherever they can find a place to rest. Homelessness is continually turning into a more noticeable and prevalent problem for the county, and it has been growing for years. According to TBO.com, “Pasco has the second highest rate of homelessness in the state…” (Kinsler,2011). This includes close to 4,500 men, women, and children; in addition to this figure, there are 3,000 men and children which can be added to this statistic (Kinsler, 2011). The five friends knew it would not be easy to found their own business. They unanimously decided to name Mike O’Brien as their first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) due to the fact that he was the only one in the group who was not currently employed and could dedicate the most time to the project. O’Brien was also the most out-going and the best salesperson in the group with the best business connections. All knew they could trust O’Brien to keep all their interest at hand. All five contributed $40,000 (for a total initial investment of $200,000) in order to set up the company. George Off and Mike Scroggie worked together to come up with a software that could collect and analyze the information to print coupons based upon the Universal Product Code (UPC) bar code. The idea was to come up with a means of modifying the only programmable POS (point of sale) system of the day, an IBM 3650, to print coupons once given a cue. A small family run chain in Rochester, New York (Wegmans) gave Catalina permission to test it’s “Coupon Solution” in their stores. The son of the owner, Danny Wegman, signed the contract for this test pilot.

Radford then endorsed our note to Peter Van Bergen, a keen-eyed businessman, to satisfy a debt. When Radford failed to pay, Van Bergen brought suit against Berry and me.

This case study is not about Ms. Stewart direct participation with illegal insider trading as the media had steered the public to believe.
