Have you ever met someone that uses their power to their advantage and doesn't care how it affects another person; Well that is Creon. The actions that Creon took to punish Antigone for buring her brother costed him his wife and son. When you are born or brought up with power don’t use it to your advantage , use it for good. In the poem Creon doesn't understand how to use his power for good and uses it to empower himself and help him. In the poem when Creon and his son Haemon are arguing about what is right in regards to Antigone and what she has done with her brothers corpse.(line 776-819 pg.353-354). Creon doesn't understand that by doing this thing to Antigone it is destroying his relationship with his whole family. He would rather lose his family than be wrong about what he is doing. Also Antigone denying the law to do something for her brother that was against the law. (Lines 51-60 pg.318). When Creons people found Antigone they didn't even give her a chance to explain herself and even though she is part of Creons family, his sons soon to be wife. The path leading to where Antigone is staying after Creon found out that she had buried her brother. This path is important because it was showing how sad and scary the path to where Antigone was staying was and how mad Creon was at Antigone.(line 1,100-1,225 pg.369-371). Secondly when Creon loses his wife and son at the end of the poem after listening to the gods he learned that he had used his power to his advantage instead of taking everyone’s options into consideration, but in the end it didn’t work in his favor because he lost all of his family and the little family he has left despises him. In the end he learned that his power is not used for the good instead he has been using it to benefit
