Anne Frank was a 13 year old girl who went into hiding from the Nazi police with her family in the back of her father’s store. Through her journey she wrote a diary showing all the battles the family and a couple of friends of theirs had to overcome, even some devastating outcomes of going into hiding, The Frank family had friends help them even though they weren’t Jewish. They were very courageous, had lots of compassion, and made many sacrifices helping out their friends. I feel that Anne Frank was really courageous, I believe this because of how she just simply wrote in the diary, She also had hope keeping her smiling everyday. Anne had been very compassionate on hanukkah by thinking of everyone and getting them gifts. Anne cares about others who have less than her and has become very mature. I believe Anne has had to go through so many sacrifices, like having to go into hiding. Also she had to give up on seeing her friends and has to make no noise at all while in hiding. Anne had to sacrifice any fun to prevent the Nazis from finding their hiding place. She had to give up school, friends and fun all to go into hiding. Anne sacrificed one of her items to make Mrs. Van Daan a present on hanukkah despite all the comments she made about Anne. Anne Frank had many characteristics, but mostly she was courageous, compassionate, and made many sacrifices. I think being in hiding Anne matures quite a lot and has a huge effect on her. I do not believe I would be able to go through having to sacrifice and leave my friends, pets, and change my whole lifestyle.
