According to the United States Census Bureau (2016), Anne Arundel County has a total area of 588 square miles of which 415 square miles is land and 173 square miles is water. When people think of Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, they think of crime and violence within the neighborhood. I myself have thought this about Bedford Stuyvesant before I did research and actually visited the neighborhood for myself. Bedford Stuyvesant in my opinion, has two different sides. The side the media portrays to us, the people, and the side people who actually visit/live in the neighborhood see for themselves. The Chesapeake and New England regions were settled by people of English descent, but by 1700, they had become two distinctly different societies. They had evolved so differently, mainly because of the way that the settlers followed their religion, their way of conducting politics and demographics in the colonies. Even though the settlers came from the same homeland: England, each group had its own reasons for coming to the New World and different ideas planned for the colonies.
Vineland, New Jersey, though I have not lived here that long, I have come to realize that it has a few special things about it. In my essay I hit on points about my neighborhood, the local area, and the regional terrain as well as the landscape. How strong urbanism plays a role in Vineland. If the area I reside in, is formal or functional region or if it is a combination of both. Then, if the boundaries of Vineland are sharply defined or board zones of transition. Also the effects that Hurricane Sandy had on New Jersey and the surrounding states.
The Midwest region of the United States consists of Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Indiana. A major source of the Midwest region of the United States is agriculture. The biggest issue the Midwest faces due to climate change is the effect of flooding on agriculture. Without agriculture the Midwest would not be what it is today. Over the years as flooding has increased planting and crop establishment has been delayed (US Global Change Research Program). Also flooding has changed the types of crops that can now be planted in the Midwest (Ben Chou). The extreme rainfalls and flooding have become more common over the past century and are expected to keep on increasing causing many harms for the Midwest including hurting agriculture (University of Michigan).
A community is a group of people who work together towards a common goal and share a common interest. Lack of such a quality can and most likely will cause a struggling town or city to fall into the extremes of poverty and wealth. The New England community was so strong and so supportive in comparison to that of the Chesapeake Bay, that it is no wonder they developed into two distinctly different cultures before the year 1700. The Chesapeake region developed into a land of plantations and money-driven owners, with the elite wealthy, almost no middle class, and those in poverty creating the population. New England, on the other hand, had developed into a religion and family based society comprised of mostly middle class families by 1700. Looking at the terrain, ethic, government, and even the people themselves, reveals clues about how the drastic split in society came to be. It was one America, but two distinct societies had developed in it by the 1700's.
In American history the adjective used to describe the 1920s is known as the “Roaring” twenties. During the decade Florida had its own adjective used to describe the real estate market known as the “Land Boom”. The Florida land boom of the 20s was Florida’s first big real estate bubble. During the great land boom of the 20th century Florida saw tens of thousands of Americans flood to the state to move or purchase land. By looking at the how this development of real estate began, who was affected, and how the “Boom” became a soft clap by the end of the decade one can see the immediate impact this event had on the United States.

Introduction The Chesapeake Bay is a large estuary located on the east coast of the United States. The bay is over 200 miles long and goes through Delaware, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. The bay has much to offer the locals. Many locals have made a career out of harvesting the bay's sea food.
An issue that we can have here in Horry County is dry weather. Dry weather can be conducive to an increased risk of wildland fires. In the unincorporated areas, people are allowed to burn their debris without a permit and often don’t think about weather conditions.
The North Carolina was founded in 1653 by the virginia colonist. The North Carolina colony was classified as a southern colony. Carolina is derived from the latin name Carolus. During the 1600s they realized its not possible for one governor and one assembly to run Carolina. The major settlements in North Carolina were Cape Fear, Charles Town, and Albemarle. The geographics of the North Carolina area are coastal plains, plateau, and mountain ranges. The climate in the North Carolina colony was not hard to survive until the summer came because the hot humid air in the summer made a rise in disease it was mostly warm all year round besides the winter but then it still isn't hard to survive because it wasn't too cold like it is in alaska or someplace

King Charles the first founded the Carolinas in 1629 and named the colony after himself. Carolina derives from the Latin word for Charles (Carolus). Originally, the colony was much larger and covered both Carolinas, Georgia, and Tennessee. Immediately, differing ideas and arguments broke out among the leaders of the colony. In 1712, North Carolina seceded from its southern half when the Lords Proprietors made Edward Hyde governor of North Carolina and not all Carolina. It was officially recognized as separate colonies in 1729. Often times, we think of the founders of our country as intelligent and divinely inspired. From the details of the founding of South America, we can see that everything does not go as smoothly as history would like to paint it.
The State of Washington is located in the far northwest corner of the United States. It has 66,582 square miles between the Pacific Ocean on the west and the Idaho boarder to the east. Washington borders Canada on the north and Oregon on the south along the Columbia River.
Fairfield County is located in South Carolina whose county seat is Winnsboro SC. The county was allegedly named by General Cornwallis, when he stated “How fair these fields”. As recorded by the 2010 census , there are 23,956 people residing in Fairfield County. As of 2010 , there was 8,774 households here. Fairfield County takes up about 686 square miles. Fairfield County has an abundance of schools and jobs available to people.
The state of New Jersey has a very complex history dating back to at least 10,000 years ago. The land was first occupied by what is known today as the Delaware Indians. However, around the early 1520’s, European influence entered into the state of New Jersey. Trading became the new up-coming businesses that would occupy a majority of the towns. As time went on, the British gained control of the land and this piece of property was named New Jersey after the Isle of Jersey in the English Channel. Due to the strong diversity in this history, New Jersey became known as one of the more ethnically diverse states at that time.
