Scientists on the other hand feel like there is a need to endanger the animals because they are trying to find a cure for the human population to all the diseases that are out in the world(3). Animal testing should be banned for unnecessary tests because why would the government want to put human through the same thing that the animals go through. Animals should not be guinea pigs to the horrible tests that the scientists run on them. The animals should be able to be free and not have to be strapped down and forced-fed. Animals feel the pain just as well as a human would, but a human can walk away from the pain and say “no”.
The use of animal testing has been beneficial, discovering many different medications that have saved human lives. However, animal testing is an unethical practice going on in society. In my opinion, the problems of animal testing outweigh the benefits. Morally, animal testing is a cruel and inhumane practice used in countless experiments. Animals have no voice in whether they want to be used for testing or not.
Animals Rights Is it fair that animals have to go through abuse neglect and torture every day over a simple fact that humans do not believe animals do not have rights? Humans use and kill animals for food or clothing. Because people or humans think of animals as property so they do as they please with animals Some people believe that animals should be treated in the same way humans are and have familiar rights, where others think that it is more important to use them as they desire for food and medical research. This Paper will discuss both points of view. With and explanation of animals, people believe it is acceptable for several reasons.
Since animals are different from humans, experimenters are wasting time and hurting animals only to find little that works on human beings. Researching on animals is an inhuman way of trying to improve medicinal research. There are other alternatives to experimentation on animals that could save millions of animals from being experimented on and killed. Researchers need to eliminate the use of animals in research. People should stand up for the animals that are being mistreated and being slaughtered.
The fact is animal testing should be banned because different species have different reactions to drugs. That is probably the strongest reason other countries have already placed bans on animal testing, along with the fact that most of them fail miserably. The easiest way to help out these animals is becoming conscious and simply looking to see if the products you use have been tested on animals. You may lose a few of your favorite brands, but it will be so worth it when animal testing is eradicated and these animals can be saved by families, not “adopted” by research facilities to make their lives miserable. Put yourself in those poor animal’s shoes, would you want to be crippled and have your freedom ripped away from you to test products to make someone pretty?
Feeling sorry for the animals is definitely where it starts for people who don't agree with animal testing; but that's not where it ends. Scientists and medical researchers say that animal testing is the future to finding cures. They also believe it is cruel to use animals to test our products on but there are no other options. Using animals for testing helps them figure out what will work and not work on humans. Using animals can help find cures faster and help prevent more human deaths.
Even though it has saved lives, animal experimentation should be banned because it is not a guarantee that these procedures are done pain free and humans and animals react differently to the medicines and chemicals used. The strongest controversial argument against vivisection has been the pain inflicted on the animals used. "The greatness of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated." (Gandhi). This is a powerful quote reflecting on humans as a nation.
IAMS, a major pet food company, tests on animals in harmful ways in order to receive information needed for their products. IAMS tries to hide their testing procedures; however PETA has tried to get IAMS to stop all terminal testing. IAMS has stopped some, but not all. They spend a lot of money to conduct these unnecessarily harmful tests. Other pet food companies conduct tests too without harming animals.
Animals and people are alike in many ways; they both feel, think, behave, and experience pain. Thus, animals should be treated with the same respect as humans. Yet animals' rights are violated when they are used in research because they are not given a choice. Animals are subjected to tests that are often painful or cause permanent damage or death, and th... ... middle of paper ... ...tes animals' rights, it causes pain and suffering to the experimental animals, and other means of testing product toxicity are available. Humans cannot justify making life better for themselves by randomly torturing and executing thousands of animals per year to perform laboratory experiments or to test products.
The foremost reason people are against animal testing is because animals are tested without their consent. Many animals go through pain, discomfort, and even death in these experiments. Some people who support animal testing refer to the fact that animal testing has obviously made many major medical discoveries. Also, support of animal testing is aimed to the protection of humans. Most scientists believe that humans are superior to animals, and that animals should be tested, although they do not necessarily agree with it (Dance).
