Wildlife has been living alongside man for as long as our species has been a part of this world, and the wildlife has even been here longer. You’d think that with man and animal coexisting in each other’s presence we’d respect the wild species that we have now a lot more than we do. Many people, whether they’re aware or not, are slaughtering animals all the way to extinction, and there are definitely more ways than one that humans are partaking in the extinction of endangered animals. We have to clean up our act before it’s too late for these animals, including us.

It wouldn’t be any surprise that you’ve heard this story because it was raging in the news for a couple of weeks, but even if you haven’t, it almost hurts hearing it. Sure, Palmer said he wouldn’t have killed Cecil if he had known his influence, but even if he didn’t kill Cecil, he would’ve killed some other lion. Lesser known or not, killing lion or any wild animal for game is a complete monstrosity. There is no use for killing these animals at the rate these people are, and it’s quite frustrating how they don’t understand these species’ importance to the Earth, and even to their life. Who knows when people like this will start to understand, maybe by the time they do, it’ll be too late. We are the generation that is making a change. We’ve created fuel efficient cars, even cars that don’t require any fuel, we’re becoming closer to the earth while keeping our luxurious lifestyle. We have come such a long way from using and burning the earth’s natural fossil fuels, and creating carbon, and putting it into the atmosphere, and furthering global warming.
