Democracy
Democracy first appeared in ancient Greece. First, they had no word “Democracy”. Democracy system was just the ideal that they agree to use for ruled people. Before they ruled by democracy system they used to rule by monarchy. But Lord took advantage of people so it made people have much debt. Solon, who was one of Lord, he helped people by cancelled all the debt and cancelled contract of slave. He gave the right to people. Everybody was equal. People can go to parliament and vote. They went to the center of the city and made discussion. It was the beginning of democracy. Many philosophers began to agree with democracy and started to make it realistic.
However, there were Plato and Aristotle two philosophers did not agree with democracy. “Plato argued that those who are expert at winning elections and nothing else will eventually dominate democratic politics. The reason for this was that most people do not have the kinds of talents that enable them to think well about the difficult issues that politics involves.” (Instrumental Argument against Democracy) Plato did not agree because democracy was the miss idea of equality of people. Democracy chose the majority vote from people, but most of Greeks did not have virtual and knowledge. So they received the vote that had no knowledge but it was from feeling of people. The winner that people chose was not person who had knowledge but he was popular person. The ruler should be person or small group who have virtual and knowledge.
