Hate crimes happen more often than people realize. The two hate group websites that I will be examing are called immigrationbuzz.com and grassrootsgrannys.com. Immigrationbuzz is a site that tries to recruit and notify people of the harm illegal immigrats bring to the economy. Grassrootsgrannys is a website that has supporter on talk show radios nationwide that exploit their views and their religion online. Each website has different ways on converting people to join their cause.
The history of immigrationbuzz is a profit organization determined on the idea to decrease the amount of illegal immigrants in the United States. The name of the wesbite owner is unknown, but an address is given from Arizona if any person wishes to make a donation or buy a merchanise. Arizona is the state where racial profiling of people is considered legal, so there is tension with Mexican American citizens being stopped by police officer to validate their citizenship since Arizona is right next to the border of Mexico. In Grassrootsgranny, the website just gives the name of the owner who is Jackie, an elderly grandmother concerned for her economy.
The two hate groups are Anti-Immigration that believe in deporting immigrants and stripping their rights to be in the United States. Grassrootsgranny has a harsher view on immigration and people in general. There website condemns any other religion beside Christanity. Immigrationbuzz has a myth vs. fact column which states the reason for their views and actions. For example, the myth on illegal immigrants that contribute greatly to the American economy. According to immigrationbuzz, “ the ACLU paper Immigrants and the Economy (2002): Immigrants pay more than $90 billion in taxes every year and receive onl...

An interesting view found on the website was the assumption that illegal immigrants do not want U.S. citizenship. It states that, “Illegal aliens generally do NOT want U.S. citizenship. Americans are very vain thinking that everybody in the world wants to be a U.S. citizen. Mexicans, and other nationalities, want to remain citizens of their home countries while obtaining the benefits offered by the United States such as employment, medical care, in-state tuition, government-subsidized housing, and free education for their offspring” (Immigrationbuzz.com, website). Other views that was found from the website is the statement that illegal immigrants are criminals and should be called illegal aliens. In addition, “hate group” websites are low-key about their intentions.
