She finds out that PG&E pay for all the medical examinations, and she realises that it’s because of the chromium.

...ater. In order to help solve this, PG&E decided to provide bottled water to any resident that lives within one mile of the Chromium 6 plume.
Groundwater Cleanup Plan
PG&E claim that it will take 40 years for the cleanup of Chromium. The projects aim is to inject substances like alcohol into the groundwater to stimulate the growth on naturally occurring bacteria. The bacterium turns the Hexavalent Chromium into Trivalent Chromium .
Another clean up plan was to grow more crops . The water is pumped through a drip-irrigation system which where the crop creates conditions that turn the water into Trivalent Chromium.
The process of getting it to Trivalent Chromium, helps with the cleanup due to when the chromium leaves the groundwater, it becomes part of the soil.
PG&E also stated that their holding ponds are lined up to prevent groundwater contamination

The historical drama of “The Conspirator” (Redford) is using scenes to reveal the background of the Lincoln assassination in 1865, on Good Friday. The authors of the movie are attempting to reveal the plot behind the scenes, and the role of individuals in killing Lincoln, as well as their true intentions in doing so. The movie was an answer to some of the misconceptions about Lincoln’s final years, as well as the political forces that led to the events. The main focus of the movie is to reveal Mary Surratt’s involvement in the conspiracy. Entertainment and historical correctness, however, does not always walk hand in hand, therefore, it is important to review whether or not the account represented by the film is accurate, and

Ben Affleck, director, does an excellent job with the movie Argo. Being able to find the fear and suspension in every scene is difficult to do, yet Affleck does so seamlessly. Based off a true historical event that happened in 1979, Affleck choses to pick the Iranian Hostage Crisis. He starts out the movie with some background information, so that viewers are able to have some understanding of what has happened and why this is happening. He then merges into a heartbreaking scene, where a mob of Iranians have bombarded their way into the American Embassy. Screaming and shouting at the top of their lungs, the actions happening outside are horrific. Showing the fear in every American’s eyes in the building pulls at every heart

An Analysis of the Opening of Erin Brockovich Erin Brockovich is a film based on the true story of a poor single mother who becomes a lawyer. The film is basically a comedy drama, although not laugh out loud funny, just ironically funny. Steven Soderbergh directs it, and it is his 12th film after his hugely successful film 'Traffic'. The first scene is in some sort of doctor's office; she is applying for a job.
In this case, PG&E deceived the entire town of Hinckley by allowing them to believe that their water source was safe. Deception was clearly portrayed throughout the film, with a particularly good example toward the beginning of the movie. The film described how PG&E held a meeting with 200 people from Hinckley to explain the benefits of PG&E using chromium 3 at their plant. Chromium 3 is similar to hexavalent chromium, but its effects on the human body are quite benign in comparison, however the deception is clear when the film goes on to show that PG&E was not actually using chromium 3 at their plant, and was actually using the harmful hexavalent chromium instead. As explained previously, hexavalent chromium is extremely dangerous and harmful to humans. This deceit continued for far too long, allowing the community to believe that children could safely play in pools and all members could safely drink water out of their faucet. It was even proven toward the end of the film that PG&E were aware of their actions because there were internal PG&E documents dated 1966 that described how it would be “better for all if documents were not discussed…” (Soderbergh, 2000). This company ended up losing the largest direct-action lawsuit in United States history, therefore in some sense it was resolved with the $333 million paid to the people of
The movie describes the story of Erin Brockovich who is a struggling single mother who becomes connected to Ed Masry’s law firm because of an unfortunate car accident, and begins working at the law firm out of desperation for an income. As she spends time filing papers as a clerk, she becomes interested in the human nature of the medical cases and persuades Ed Masry to allow her to investigate further. Empathy; the movie is plenty of scenes and situations where Erin Brockovich shows her ability to put herself into the shoes of the sick families. This is one of the great assets that she posses her empathy towards their clients. She feels their pain, understands their needs, and embodies a rare compassion. “I hate lawyers; I just work for them,” she says to those who are wary of her intentions. And also Erin displayed empathy in relationships with her clients. In one scene, Erin met with a cancer suffering child and her family. A young girl named Anna, was suffering from alopecia and wearing a bandana. She had lost her hair from the cancer treatments she had received. Erin's eyes reflected painful sadness even as she smiled and laughed with Anna. At the end of their conversation, Erin's genuine concern for Anna left her speechless. Erin's attitude displayed empathy, which involves feeling and experiencing another person's situation almost as they do. Assertiveness; in the scene where Ed and Erin are with Donna and other people, and Ed is trying to convince them to move forward with a suit against PG&E. He is using an assertive speech, expressing his ideas clearly without being aggressive and defending their rights in a reasonable way, but they do not get convinced until Erin uses all her communicative skills, in particular her empat...
Generally speaking, we face two major issues in trying to get rid of toxic chemicals in our freshwater. The first issue is the fact that we don’t know how to stop the chemicals from getting into our groundwater, as the contamination of groundwater cannot be seen, heard, or felt. If we know how to stop the chemicals from contaminating freshwater, we would be able to prevent water pollution before it gets out of hand.
