Preparation and analysis of vacuum deposited thin films of Polyaniline
Introduction : The polymer are good candidates for investigation of dielectric properties. Knowledge of the dielectric behavior through light on the molecular structure and relaxation behaviors of the polymers. The investigations of the optical properties of the polymers thin films have gained attention due to their potential applications in optical sensors, LEDs and as antireflective coating. The effect of doping on the band gap of poly areas in the field of polymer thin film deposition is vacuum methods. Aniline is considered as a starting monomer to produce conducting polymers, as homopolymer or by doping with anions. Linear polyaniline is an electric insulating polymer but can be converted to a semiconductor by doping the compound with halogens and other anions .Polyaniline will be prepared by vaccum evaporation of the polymer powder [4-7].
Present State of Knowledge: Polyaniline thin films are prepared by vaccum deposited of poly aniline powder an optically glass flates [8]. In recent year, the dielectric and electronic properties of polymeric and organic thin films has received a great deal of interest because of their important in many advance application such as organic LEDs, sensors [9-11]., rechargeable batteries, electroluminescent devices and as intermetallic dielectric in ICs [12,13]. One of the fastest growing areas in the field of polymer thin film deposited is vaccum methods. The properties of these films can be failored according to requirements by varying the deposition parameters like pressure, applied current, monomer flow rate and time of polymerization.
