From my point of view, Osage Gallery is the example of experimental gallery. The experimental gallery means that the gallery would not just focus on the artwork of well-known artists but will also pay more attention to the young artists. This type of gallery will often make the first contact with the young artists and bring them to the large audience. The gallery will also be more open mind in the artists’ style that they will accept the new style or creative works of art which are not yet welcomed in the art market. Osage Gallery is one of the best experimental galleries in Hong Kong. It is because it has launched different contemporary art exhibition in these ten years that for the young artists to display their works. The Director of the gallery, Agnes Lin, said that the difficulties of art development in Hong Kong. She has indicated that there is not enough space in Hong Kong for gallery to show the art work and there is no government funding to the young artists in developing a new form of art. Osage Gallery, however, still insists in supporting young artists to develop their own style of art and will cooperate with those young artists. One of their past exhibition called is a good examples, this exhibition content more than hundreds artists to participate in and provide them a space to voice out their view of “art in daily life”. The Metropolitan Museum of Art has one of the finest Asian art collections that has enlightened and strengthened my understanding in my personal art experience. The Museum itself is an artistic architectural structure that graces the entire block on 82nd Street in Manhattan. Entering inside, I sensed myself going back into an era, into a past where people traded ideas and learned from each other. It is a past, where I still find their works of yesteryears vividly within my grasp, to be remembered and shared as if their reflections of works were cast for the modern devoted learner.
The St. Louis Art Museum is one of the United States most renowned art museums that is located in our very own St. Louis. It has over 30,000 pieces of exquisite art that I had the privilege to witness. While there, I mainly examined the art pieces that were modern art, since that is of what I have a good working knowledge. There is a wide range of art that I also got to witness including the sculptures and the museum itself. In the past year, they have recently installed a new sector of their establishment that has done nothing less than enhance the entire museum’s overall beauty. The St. Louis Art Museum, there are many beautiful works, but there were three special projects that caught my eye while I was there. The Contemporary art periods, Modern art periods, the American art periods, and the museum itself.
In conclusion, although there are several weaknesses of the gallery “Imagining the Underground,” it strongly supports the ideas of Baxandall and it perfectly serves the viewers with a feast of African culture and art exhibition. Its layout, exhibition style and labels are greatly organized and interacted in the way along with Baxandall’s idea. Baxandall’s model and ideas together with the example of this gallery should be considered in future construction of galleries.

The first art that interested me was the art of Indonesia which in this exhibit depicted the culture, history and art of Indonesian people. For instance, Bali a small island in the Indonesia valued most of its art based on the rich resources they occupied such as most art was composed of gold, diamond and sapphires which people of Bali believed that it will resemble their higher standards in the society. Art of Bali amazed me the most when it came to their “King’s crown” and “Queen’s crown” which was completely “fashioned in pure gold with diamonds, rubies, and sapphires” (Bali). The king’s crown was much simpler compare to queen’s crown which contained many varied of gold decorative that looked like gold flowers, and all of its designs such as rubies or sapphires were perfectly horizontally lined to each other that sort of depicted as a shiny necklace. The Bali’s art that I observed was very interesting know about the society they lived in those centuries with representation of their upscale society (Bali).

Those who make a living on selling their art have to work very hard at making their selves known, for some there art never becomes know they work immensely but to no avail.
