I think this story is not realistic because aliens can't control power, can't make a car by itself, or mistaken someone to be an alien then shoot that person. First of all, aliens can't turn off or on the power to your home. At exactly 6:43 p.m a meteor goes by. Everyone’s power is shut off completely. No one had touched the power box or anything. Shortly afterwards Steve and Charlie’s houses start flickering on and off, then finally quit. Everyone on Maple Street start to acuse them of being aliens.

Something bright flies overhead and the power goes out and the people who live there get advice from a 12 year old and get scared there are aliens out there. Tommy, the 12 year old, told them about the movies and comics that he has read. The narrator is an observer that is describing what happens while everyone goes mad trying to find a scapegoat. Steve is the only person who tries to reason with everyone while they are getting suspicious and trying to blame a scapegoat. This teleplay shows some of the human flaws that the people on maple street will encounter during their little power outage.

I attended Brooklyn Tech’s portrayal of Qui Nguyen’s play, She Kills Monsters today and was surprised by it. Having never gone to a play in this school yet, I did not know exactly what to expect. There were a few aspects that annoyed me, one of which was how the setting was portrayed. A projection screen was used to show the the setting while the stage was relatively empty at times. I felt as if there could have been more ways to make the setting more visually pleasing and realistic. Another annoyance were the fight scenes.
