.... I would have really loved to meet her and thank her for her bravery. I think she was kind and a sweet women. She put others needs for her own and stood up for what she believed in. She loved her children and it seemed like she would do anything for them. Jacobs put her story out there and she wasn't afraid of what was going to happen to her. All she wanted to do was help free slaves and for everyone to be treated with kindness. Most people don’t have that courage to stand up for what’s right. I need to always remember that every time I stand up for what’s right; that I am doing something right. Also to put other’s need for my own. Harriet was a great person and I am so proud of her. I wish I could have done something like she did. I am so grateful for my freedom. The freedom to have a education, to have a loving place to live, and we thankful for all we have.
