Pressure is something every person deals with at some point in his/her life, whether it may be peer pressure, pressure to do the right thing, as well as the pressure to make good and safe choices every day. Now imagine being a 12-year-old girl put under the pressure to be a “perfect” role model for millions of young children. It becomes too much, constantly being judged for every move one may make. The pressure is almost unbearable, Demi Lovato knows all about the pressure of stardom. From her big debut on “Sonny with a Chance” in 2009 at the age of 15. Her life has been anything, but easy. She is known for slamming the “thigh gap” trend and has embraced a healthy gym regimen that she keeps people updated with on Snapchat” (2016). Demi loves going to meet and greet, where she meets her fans who have gone through some of the similar situations in their own lives and hear their stories of overcoming their own battles. “Demi can’t tell you the number of girls that will show her their arms covered in scars. They will tell her how much hearing her story has helped get them through it, because of her they have received help for their self-harming or have been getting treatment to obtain sobriety” (2016).
