The fight for social justice has been a continuous battle for decades. Although a large portion of the social injustice usually is associated with minorities, this can be applied to everyone. The unequal distribution of wealth in this country has caused many Americans to live below or slightly above the poverty line. Due to this matter, many families are faced with a hardship of figuring out how to provide for his or her family which eventually leads to families having the lack of necessities such as food, clothing, and other day to day basic needs. As more families in this country continued to scuffle with this battle, this led to the cause of social organizations to assist the American families in need.

Williams and his beloved wife Juanita Williams. Following the height of the Civil Rights Movement, the organization was founded in 1971. This organization is a Christian International Aid based foundation. The Williams formed the organization with the purpose of preventing homelessness and the continued cycle of poverty in the city of Atlanta. Hosea Feed the Hungry mission is to provide public awareness of the issues that families and individuals face in the society of poverty and to demonstrate how organizations such as themselves and volunteers can help prevent this …show more content…

The first way that the organization uses a way to help prevent the cycle of poverty is through the Community Outreach. The organization hosts the Families Care and Crisis Center to provide adults and children the opportunity to receive food, clothing, beverages, and other household items. The organization also prepackages meals and beverages to distribute to underserved communities throughout Atlanta, particularly the homeless. Hosea Feed the Hungry provide support for the seniors by sending volunteers to give the elderly pre-cooked meals. During the holiday season, the elderly has the opportunity to reach out to the organization and inform them of the items that they need, the volunteers then try to grant those wishes for the elderly. The third contribution Hosea Feed the Hungry provides to the city of Atlanta is the Back to School event. The Back to School event provides underserved teens and children with the needed school supplies to start school. The organization host the event to make sure that it caters to children and their families a space to have an enjoyable time. The main event that Hosea Feed the Hungry is well known for is there Holiday Events such as Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and Easter Day dinner event.
