In the video, John Green talks about several examples of Civil Disobedience. The movement that impressed me the most was the nonviolent protest against the Nazis during World War II called the Rosenstrasse protest. German Gestapo arrested Jewish men whose wives were not Jewish. They were taken to a building as the ladies protested outside on the street. The Gestapo threatened them with their guns, but the wives persisted for a week. Eventually, the men were released and returned to their families. This example of Civil Disobedience intrigued me due to the fact that it was the only protest against the German Nazis to achieved success.
