Walt Disney World, is known as the place where dreams come true. There, guests can engulf into the world of Disney by visiting places like Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and more. Disney World is important to me because it is the place where I feel as if my dreams can come true and anything can happen. To truly understand what makes it so popular I had to learn about its creator and what it took for him to make a place as magical as Walt Disney World itself.

The mastermind behind Walt Disney World is no other than Walter Disney. Walt Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up interested in film and art and wanted to pursue a career in film and art. Walt started off working with a small company now commonly known as “Warner Bros.” His first cartoon was a rabbit named “Oswald the Lucky Rabbit.” Walt then sold the rights of Oswald to the company and set out on his own. Oswald was then renamed Bugs Bunny!

After a ton of hard work and dedication Walt created a company called “Walt Disney Studios.” November 18, 1928 Walt created Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Then on December 21, 1937 he created Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the first Disney Princess ever made. This film helped to sky-rocket his business. Walt the made Disney classics such as Pinocchio, Dumbo, and Bambi but this was just the beginning. In 1955 he opened Disneyland, an amusement park where guests can step into the world of Disney. Walt always stood at the exit and wished guests a farewell. No one would ever leave the park before closing time. One night, a family was leaving before closing times. In a year over 700 million people visit Walt Disney World and there are still 20,000 acres of land that is undeveloped leaving Walt Disney World room to grow. Walt Disney World is so popular because it is constantly evolving with new attractions and high-tech technology such as Magic Bands, devices that serve as your room key and park ticket. Also Disney World stays the same still keeping the idea that Walt Disney had for Walt Disney World. It’s a place engulfed in family fun and everything Disney.
