Since neonatal nursing is my special interest and field, I chose to write about the health care options which are available to parents having children in different hospitals throughout the world. With the state of the art technological advances in the neonatal units, there are so many options available for the care of newborn babies. I reviewed the neonatal units in Australia, Saudi Arabia, New York, Tokyo, Ireland, and California, and I have learned what It takes to run a neonatal intensive care unit all around the world.
Humankind has always held a certain fascination for babies. We see a baby and our automatic response is generally one along the lines of “awwe”. New mothers often experience an increase in attention from strangers when going out in public with their new children. The bottom line is we love babies. Their big eyes and general helplessness evokes a certain almost maternal desire in each of us. Aside from the obvious psychological and evolutionary science behind these emotions, infancy is a universally significant time that transcends all cultures. The documentary Babies choses to explore this time by examining four newborns and their mothers in Nambia, Mongolia, the United States, and Japan.
I look back at all of my son's newborn pictures and love them dearly butnothing compares to those shots I have of him when he was JUST born. (Look at this Lucy Darling Memory Book!)
Overall, David LaChapelle is a wonderful photographer, and is obviously continuing to develop his skills as an artist.

In the film Babies there are four babies from four different cultural backgrounds, languages and socioeconomic statuses. While each babies’ development is different, they have one thing in common, they nurtured by those around them. The first baby is Ponijao who is the youngest of nine children from the village of Namibia, South Africa; baby Baya from Mongolia, East Asia; Hattie Bradshaw from San Francisco, California in the United States, and Mari from Tokyo, Japan.
Babies is a 2010 French film, by Thomas Balmes, that follows four babies from birth to their first steps around the world. Two of the babies are from rural areas: Panijao from Opuwo, Namibia, and Bayarjargal from Bayanchandmani, Mongolia. The other two babies are from urban areas: Mari from Tokyo, Japan, and Hattie from San Francisco, United States. This documentary is different because the whole film is from the babies perceptive. Everything that is shot is at the babies level. There is very little dialogue throughout this film. The focus is not on the parents at all. You will see the parent’s faces through out the film. But mostly all you see is nipples, arms, hands and their chest. You see the parts the baby tends to have the most interest
Not only do these photographs excel in technicality but they also excel in emotional appeal. Looking through these photographs opens my eyes and gives me a taste of what Haitian culture is like. Even when their location is considered a filthy ghetto junkyard to some, they still managed to make the background work to their advantage and create beautiful photographs. I love how honest these photographs are and the fact that they don’t use any fancy backdrops or superficial models to create art is what also pleases me the most. Instead they use what they have and create pure and honest portraits that still seem have a glimmer of artistic values that magically makes it all come
Since I was a child photography has been an art that I have held close to my heart. For me ,photography has always been an escape from reality. I loved the way you can take a picture of something so simple and if it is composed in just the right way, it can be a complete work of art. Or how photography can offers people the chance to see how others see them. So often we get stuck in our own neurosis about ourselves that we can't see the strength and beauty we hold. This is where the concept of Sacred Healing Photography came to me. For many women who are struggling with healing their sacred womb, there is a real lack of self love and acceptance. It's hard to feel beautiful, wild, and sexy when you are fighting the demons of your lower chakras.
