Many people find animation a misuse of precious time, however, not only does animation benefit people in their daily lives, but it can also be beneficial to students in a classroom as well. This essay will examine two publications, a fractuslearning.com article which provides reasons for how animation skills can benefit those in a classroom environment and why these skills are beneficial. The other article entitled “Wonderful World of Walt: Walt and animation innovation”, which will give insight as to how one of the most well-known animators in history created his animation empire. Each of these resources target a specific audience: the fractuslearning.com article targets teachers and parents who are looking for new ways to introduce their …show more content…
For ethos, Laura gains credibility because at the side of the article where it begins she states her field and expertise in education technology. Along with this, she states a bit about what she does, who she has worked for, and what she wants to do for the community. Throughout her argument, Laura Bates provides a few websites in which those interested after reading her article can explore for themselves and gain further knowledge. Logos is used in her argument as she focuses on five main points in her article. As I said before, she provides websites throughout the article. She also makes the article very relatable to the public eye because she talks about gaining skills that you can carry out through life. My next source I chose is an article about one of the most renowned animators in history, Walt Disney. I chose this article because many people know about Disney and his work; however, many people do not know about the amount of work and effort that went into Disney building his animation empire. I think this article can help people who are still skeptical about the animation world connect on a broader scale that animation is more influential than they may

As Sir Robinson conveys his thoughts and studies his words guide the animation in a very impressive visual. Sir Robinson will be conversing about three troubling trends: rising drop-out rates, schools' dwindling stake in the arts, and ADHD. RSA animation successfully presented a visual presentation simple and complicated at the same time that vividly guides the viewer on a journey with Sir Ken Robinson as the tour guide.
The first animated movie produced by Pixar, a famous space ranger named Buzz Light-year said, “To infinity and beyond!” and that is exactly where Pixar has taken the animation industry. The success of Pixar is duly noted worldwide and they remain a leader in the animation industry. The company reeled in more than 100 awards and nominations for their work on animated films, commercials, and technical contributions to the animation industry. The trials and triumphs of this company have earned it its spot as one of the leading animation companies in the entertainment industry today. With all this success it is hard to think it was almost over before it ever began. Pixar’s history of trials and triumphs starts with a group of men and their ideas that would revolutionize the entertainment industry.
...ent, intensity, and egoism of individualistic societies and the conformity and reflectiveness of collectivist societies inevitably play a part in the development of animation’s plotlines, characters, humor, and aesthetic styles. Nonetheless, like the two separate groups of people that these styles of animations reflect, there are naturally more similarities than contrasts. As our Westernized culture becomes a diverse melting pot, it is inevitable that Western and anime styles of animation build from and inspire one another. As Disney continues approaching an “illusion of life” aesthetic and as both grow to appeal to wider audiences to stay relevant, the future of each style of animation is capricious yet promising. As Walt said, “We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”
Walt Disney is known around the entire world for the amusement parks and films which bear his name. He discovered new ways to animate films and make the quality better (2). The use of color in Disney’s movies also set a new precedent in technology. Many critics still consider his work a masterpiece (12). In today’s world, one of the most important cultural aspects to most countries is the accessibility to tv and movies (6). If people want to learn something, they can take to the television, and voila. Disney played a huge part in the task of broadening communication through his important strides in technology. Without tv, knowing what is going on in the world would be a lot harder, and without Disney’s important discoveries in animation, recreational tv would be less
In society today, we are conditioned to believe certain sets of ideals. We use these ideals to interact and get along with the other people we surround ourselves with. These ideals are often the societal norms that form common ground amongst individuals. However, living life based off these basic and unchanging beliefs is not beneficial to humanity, nor does it make life any easier to live. In fact, holding on to the most accepted beliefs holds back society as a whole. Judith Halberstam, in her essay “Animating Revolt and Revolting Animation” challenges these societal norms through the analysis of animated movies and, in doing so, carves a path for a new way of thinking.
To begin, the author uses ethos to persuade the audience. Ethos is the use of credible sources (expert opinions). “... Mimi Ito, an anthropologist at the University of California at Irvine, who’s studying how technology affects young adults.” Adding this piece of information make the author appear more credible and reliable to the audience. “...-as Jim Taylor, author of Raising Generation Tech, puts it, “They’re a load of crap… meant to make money.” When the author uses Mimi Ito and Jim Taylor’s opinions, it makes her argument more reliable. The author uses ethos to show the credibility of her writing.
She uses testimonial device to bring in the well-known reliable source known as Llewellyn Hinkes-Jones from “The Atlantic” to help support her case. She uses pathos to appeal to her audience’s emotions by pulling on their heartstrings. She uses the logos to provide support to her article which she means to convince her audience by use of logic, reason, or statistics. She uses euphemism to make something harsh or distasteful sound in a somewhat positive way. She uses ethos to convince her audience of her credibility. There are very few weaknesses in her article which are greatly outweighed by the many strengths in
