Who is Amber Rose? Amber Levonchuck, formerly known as Amber Rose, was born on October 21, 1983. Her parents were of Irish and Italian descent and she was raised in South Philadelphia. Due to the divorce of her parents she took part in stripping to provide for her family. Growing up, after stripping, she began to start taking interest in modeling. In 2008, she was casted in Young Jeezy’s video and was eventually noticed by Kanye West. This created a spark in her career. Rose walked the runway at New York Fashion week and have been in multiple music videos. This soon led to the signing of a modeling contract with Ford Models. Years later Amber Rose had much more exposure to the fame and her communication skills had evolved. I feel as though she tugged the hearts of the females by speaking to them on a personal level. She began the SlutWalks by talking and sharing her experiences with her being called names and how she was tricked when she was 14 by a group of guys who made it seem like she was giving oral sex while playing “ 7 Minutes in Heaven”. She knew that many people who were in the walks had been through some type of slut shaming. Amber Rose even cried and acknowledged those who slut shamed her to show that she could overcome any situation because words don’t make or break her. She is actually comfortable about herself and planned to keep it that way. Also, she had guest appearances such as Nick Cannon who supported her walk. As a kid,her family was the only family that lived in the Anoka,Minnesoda community. She learned how to read and write at home and didnt attend school untill the age of seven. After high school,she attened Hamline University in St. Paul,Minnesoda. She graduated with a Bachlor`s degree in English. She was the first african american to recieve this degree at this university. While she was in college,she heard Dr.W.E.B DuBois give a speech that made her want to become a teacher. After she graduated from college,she accepted a teaching job at Rust College in Holly Springs,Mississipi and taught english and history for two years. While in Missippi,she experienced racial segregation and discrimination for the first time,witch motivated her to join the civil rights movement.
Throughout Lives of the Boundary, many stories were told on how Rose had was able to help students with their education and how others have helped him with his education. All of the stories throughout the book have its unique background. Rose claims that giving students the individual attention that they need helps them thrive to meet the goals that they have in education. This showcased white women's passive indifference to racism in America.Her history of hunting down Black people to return home is a reflection of Black men being fetishized in modern society. She sees black people as just items, she was basically shopping for a physically-enhanced slave. Even Though, in the beginning of the movie she seems to defend her boyfriend from first the cop, and her parents second. It later on discovered that it was all an act that she was a part in. It’s hard to tell if she actually enjoys being intimate and sexual with black men or just following the orders of her family.

Concerning the contextualization of A Rose of Family as a sign of the times of women at that point, where cultural norms of women lead to a life in domestication. The recognition of the rose here as it is carefully placed in the title of the piece as well bears significance to the physical rose and what it meant to the young women in the South during the 1800s (Kurtz 40). Roses are generally given as tokens of love and affection by males to females. There are even remnants of it today where young lads also profess their love to women with roses; women still see it as an act of endearment towards them.
In William Faulkner’s short story, “A Rose for Emily”, the butler is directly related to the traditional values in the older generation. Because of his status and race the butler is not allowed to openly express his ideals like Emily is allowed to. The butler’s role is to display the traditions of the older southern generation. The butler serves his role thorough this story by being excessively loyal and protective of Emily, by fulfilling his duty as a servant, and by being racial discriminated against from people in the town.
