As a parent, you are always trying to look out for your children, making what you think is the best decision for them and their futures. When it comes to schooling, each parent struggles to decide what type of education is most beneficial to their child. Ultimately the choice to send your child to a public, private, or home school is up to you. Home schooling is a new form of education that is rising in popularity. Home schooling is the education of children inside the home, as opposed to public or private school. Nowadays, more and more parents are pulling their children out of traditional school environments and are selecting to teach their children at home. “Whenever homeschooling is brought up, someone invariably states that lack of socialization is the number one disadvantage to home education. In reality this is not true, children who are home schooled interact with others in public settings such as, restaurants, churches, and many other locations” (Butler). Emotions can run very high as a parent when trying to decide which school setting is best for your child. The choice is mainly based on seeking out flaw of each. The hours spent under guidance of teachers, and curriculum will change the way children act, think, and learn, and eventually the person they become.
