Social Media such as instagram, Facebook and twitter are becoming more and more constructive. Did you know that 10.5 billion minutes are used on some type of social media? That is equivalent to twenty thousand years. The effects begin to wear and tear on a person when it becomes the newest addiction. Social media can take one captive; sometimes make people have anxiety problems as well. Not only does it create anxiety problems but it also can lead to sleeping disorders. Social media will always have its good side and its bad side. In our generation it is normal to post our emotions online. A face you can see from a profile they choose for you to see. That one close friend you use to hang out with all the time is just another person to keep up with on social media. Not saying social media makes us become socially awkward but at the same time it does. Sometimes being so involved on our phones or social media leads to us not interacting person to person. Social networking not only causes bumps in the road between friends, but also in a relationship. Posting for others to see can sometimes lead jealously between couples as well. The effects of posting something is risky, you wouldn’t want your spouse or loved one getting the wrong impression. Social networking leads to trust issues in a relationship. The statistics show that social media will always be in the lead, currently they are gaining popularity every day. There are many positive aspects, but there are equally as many dangers. As a person you have to realize your limitations, pull back on the rains. Social media isn’t all that bad because there is an upside of having it.
