The adult I chose to interview has excellent mental and emotional health. She is a woman full of confidence in both her abilities as a mother, worker, and human being, as well as a high self-esteem pertaining to her position in life and self perception. This person is willing to try new things and approach situation with a quizative and eager to learn attitude. Regardless of age or status, she values information from anyone that is willing to help her improve her ways. Her optimal state of self allows her to improve the environment around her. Because of this, her ability to build healthy relationships with her peers, such as friends, family and co-workers improves her social health. Due to her irregular schedule that traveling around the world entails, she hardly receives more than six hours of sleep per night. Her internal clock is often affected by jet lag from different time zones and shifts. So I see her take a lot of long naps that further affect her sleep. Also, pushing heavy carts and lifting luggage is very hard on her body, especially her knees and back. The constant turbulence of the planes also contribute to rough environment she works in, which causes her to bump into hard surfaces, jeopardizing her safety. Altitude changes despite the pressurized cabins greatly contribute to her difficulty of breathing as well as headaches. This irregular lifestyle also does not allow for her to eat healthy meals very often or exercise for at least sixty minutes a day. However, she is able to keep up personal hygiene like showering, brushing her teeth twice daily, washing her hands, etc. She does not smoke, drink, or use any other drugs. Her impeccable hygiene affects her social health since she is able to avoid illness by staying sanitary everywhere. Her public health affects everyone because it is less bacteria and germs that are being spread around.
