The Life of Adolf Hitler

Early Life

There are many great men who have left a significant impact on the world, some positive and some negative. Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler was the most notorious dictators of those of his time, before, and after. Leaving a negative association with his name, Adolf Hitler played a rather powerful role in not only Germany’s history, but world history. Throughout his lifetime Hitler, a persuasive and brutal man, led his country to carry out mass destruction which lead him to the depletion of his reputation.

As a young man in search for his manhood, Adolf enlisted in a Bavarian Regiment knowing his country of Germany was going to be in a tough spot (Anderson 9). Throughout his regiment nearly all of the men were either wounded, killed, or missing whereas Adolf avoided life- threatening injuries. One minor injury during war occurred when the British followed through with a gas attack that temporarily blinded Adolf. Hitler was a courageous soldier who fought in World War 1; he was awarded numerous medals including the Iron Cross (First Class) which he was awarded twice for his astounding performance on the battlefield (Anderson 9). Starting as only a soldier defending his country, Adolf Hitler was able to move in rank of significance to Corporal. During his time of climbing the ladder of importance during the war, he was surrounded by leaders who revealed a sense of hostility towards the Jewish race (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum 1). By the end of the war, Reichswehr (The German Army) allowed Hitler to work as a confidential informant transporting important messages due to his unique skill as an orator (Anderson …show more content…
