Most people when they think of gambling, they think of middle aged men and or women or old men and or women gambling their money away at a casino, while getting free drinks while sitting at the slot machine and they are doing so because they are lonely and or depressed. Many do not realize that gambling is an addiction just as drugs and alcohol are to some people. People can become addicted to gambling for the reason being they like to win, they like to take chances and like taking risks, or they like the satisfaction they get from the result of gambling. Gambling is a hit or miss when it comes to winning. Those who gamble,usually know that they will not win every single time they sit down to gamble. Any type of addiction whether it being alcohol abuse, drug abuse, or having a gambling addiction is something many need to take action for immediately before it could turn into something more severe and more dangerous. He stated how many parents think that when they see their kids playing a simple game of Texas Hold Em, it is a way to keep them from getting into trouble, but in reality, it is the beginning of something that could turn serious the more they do it and as they get older. Most people think it is just a game but he explained that it can become an addiction like those who get addicted to doing speed one time, they like the feeling they get from doing it to where they do it more often than they anticipated resulting into becoming an addiction to where they feel like they have to do it on a daily basis in order to function.
