Actions Speak Louder Than Words

‘Actions speak louder than words’ is an age old proverb with a deep hidden meaning inside. So, what does the phrase of ‘Actions speak louder than words’ means to the people in today’s society? Do they agree with this phrase? But, for me, in my opinion, I do agree with this phrase. I do believe that actions speak louder than words which can make our life easier.
For some people, they think that words are more significant than the actions. Although, the words can express and influence someone expressions, feelings and thoughts, yet, it is only the reflection of the action (Mina, 2012). Sometimes words are lies, they do not give any effect or impact. Words mean little and cannot be seen or proven if no actions are taken.
According to Dr. Charles & Dr. Elizabeth, words are cheap and actions mean everything. Everyone can say everything they want, but when they say and no actions, it totally means nothing. What they say and do is totally contrary, and this shows actions speak louder than words. For example, a person tells his friends that he can speaks and communicates well with the foreigners after few months in oversea, but in reality, it shows that he could not speak fluent English and communicate well with the foreigner. What he said is totally different from what he acts. What he said is totally a lie, because what he said is empty and it is worst without any actions.
People usually evaluate a person by actions and not by words. People pay more attention to what is being done rather than what is being said. This is because people always break their promises without taking any actions to prove that what they say is right. In conclusion, actions are much more effective than words. A person who is taking actions to perform their tasks rather than just explaining and talking how difficult the task is, they will definitely earn more respect from others. People will only rely and believe on the person who able say and act simultaneously, and not just say without any action taken. So, if I really have to choose between actions and words, I will definitely choose actions. This is because what we does is much significant than what we say. It is better to take a step ahead rather than just saying. So, we should think carefully before we say anything. It is possible for us to lose many important things in life such as reputation, respect and so on.
