Scene 1- It was April 4, and I had turned to 15 two days prior to this. My mother decide that she would take me to the local dmv office, where I could finally get my permit. I was suoer excited, so I ran and fixed my hair and got all prepped for my picture. I made sure to look over the app on my phone for studying prior to the test. When I went in to take the test, I realized I had accidentally studied the wrong manual and was gonna flunk it. scene 2- My mom, who at the time was 29, took me to get my permit. I met two other kids my age there named Debrah and Zack. Zack, had just turned 15 a few days before and had black hair. Debrah was extremley short. I kid you not, she was 4 ft tall. She was 16 and for some reason hadn't got hers the year she turned 15. There was also me, I had just turned 15, I had brown hair, hazel eyes, and I'm about 5ft'8. Other than, there was the dmv instructor who was about my height and looked to …show more content…
I did good for not studying and only failed by 1. I was so embarassed to walk out and tell my mom I had failed, but Zack had already tried and failed 6 times and a Debroah had failed 8 times. That made me feel a little better. I asked my mom if I could have one more try at it. The dmv teacher, who had over heard me, offered to let me study on a app that he had on his phone. After I looked at the app, I was confident that I would pass, I walked back into the room and passed with a perfect hundred. The app helped alot and I'm lucky the dmv teacher was so nice. After I passed and got my permit, I convinced my mom to let me drive home. Its's not as easy at it looks, but I did okay. Every single scene provides all the proper information. The first scene explains what I'm talking about and what the story is mainly about. The second explains all the characters in the story, and the third advances the
The test day was 05/08/16 and time was at 9:00am. My tester was my wife.
“I’m coming, mother I’m coming!” I yelled back to my mother. She was right there was much to do. My 16th birthday was fast approaching and I had many things to plan. We needed to go to the market place and get a few items we desperately needed. This ball was going to be very important. Not only was I turning 16, but it was a chance for my father to choose a suitable husband for me.
The student’s response began with “honestly” and he unveiled his unique plan to succeed on the test. The interviewer was shocked – no one had ever admitted to cheating on the online test before. A job was offered.
To make sure that my test is fair I will make sure to keep all the
I have this as my first one because as a person who has a learning disability it is difficult as it is to recall information needed for a test. I think I will know if I achieve this by the grades I get on the test, it will either be an extraordinary or low grade. But then again, it isn’t always the information to see if I passed; it is how well I can understand the information that is being presented.
I managed to earn a 41/50 on the practice test, and seemed to struggle most with the beginning and end parts. Although there were several that were clearly wrong when looking back, there were a few that I genuinely thought the answer I selected was better. The first of these questions asked
I committed to a lot of preparation that would assure that I passed the exam on the first try. I studied for three weeks day and night and created flash cards to help me memorize rules. When the day came to take the written exam I isolated in a room with a piece of paper and a pencil, this did not help my level of anxiety that I had prior to arriving at the DMV. But by some miracle, I had passed the test. Receiving my driver’s permit made me one step closer to freedom, but it wasn’t over yet. Now that I had my permit, I had to learn how to actually drive a car. I had a little over four months to perfect my driving skills and learn the interior/exterior of a 2003 Toyota Corolla. Through the course of that time, I put in hundreds of dreadful hours in learning how to drive and locating the interior buttons. I practiced turning left and right correctly, as well as how to accelerate and stop smoothly on public roads. I was told by many that having a car wasn’t only about driving it, it was also about knowing how to keep it clean and knowing how to make sure every aspect of the car was running well. The hard part of learning how to drive was memorizing all the rules, such as the meaning of the lines and signs on the road. Every day spent practicing was a day closer to turning eighteen. On the day of my birthday I made my DMV appointment to take my “Behind-the-Wheel” test. The fear of failing my driving test made me far from excited when the day came. When I arrived at the DMV, I was told to park the car on a drive way next to the building. As I waited for my instructor to get in the car I was sweating bullets but despite the twenty nerve-wrecking minutes the drive lasted, I
only fourteen. My mother didn't allow me to go to the party. I thought she just didn't want me to
The written test that you were required to take was taken at the armory. You needed to pass the written test to get your permit. The test was 100 questions that number made me very nervous because I?m not a very good test taker, and that is a lot of questions. The night before the test I couldn?t sleep because I was so worried about not passing the test. I think I read the book five times before I finally fell asleep. In the morning mom brought me to the Armory, I went in to take my test. It took me about forty five minutes to take it. I brought my test to the front desk they correct it right there, when she was done she came to tell me I passed. I was so excited now I could drive!!
The test was early on a Saturday morning. I remember eating an early breakfast and then packing my bag for the test. Everything about the day was going to be unfamiliar, from the location to the fact that the test was timed. I didn’t even own a school backpack yet, having never needed one before, so I packed my number 2 pencils, erasers, calculator and water bottle in an another bag instead. I walked into an unfamiliar high school and having no experience finding my way through the maze of hallways, followed signs until I found my way to the classroom in which the testing would take place. Before this moment I had never had to sit at a desk before. The straight lines of desks were so orderly and there was a proper classroom feeling that I had never experienced before in my home. I remember sitting there with my stomach in knots; standardized testing is anxiety inducing for almost any student, and I had the usual test-taking nerves combined with the unfamiliarity of a new
So that idea had totally gone out the window. I was stuck in a hole and nobody could pull me out. Maybe it was a good idea he wasn’t going to let me get switched because my mom didn’t approve neither did my friends. But Tuesday made its way towards me and I got more anxious as the hours increased. I had math in fourth period and it was already the middle of third. I was going to fake sick but I was going to have to make it up anyway, so I chucked it up and decided there was no way I wouldn’t have to take this test. I went into Mr. Anderson’s class got my test and began working. It was just as complex as I thought it would be. It took me the whole class period to complete it. I knew my grade already a big fat F is what was. Wednesday came, and so did fourth period. I knew my grade would drop and I had failed that test. He began passing out the test to review our grades. I got mines last he turned it face down and waited for me to turn it over. I didn’t want to look, so he flipped it over for me. A+, I had an A+ on that test. “Stop worrying so much lil’ girl!” he said. I couldn’t believe it. I did
...ere producing the consent forms on time. My own dilemma was that the school was playing dodge ball during the breaks that I had scheduled for the interview, and due to time constraints I was unable to postpone to a later date. In future it would be best to have more time to perform the test for accurate results.
But I reminded myself if in childhood, I could make a car, then with the same attitude I can clear this hurdle in my life too. It was my mistake and there being no excuse, I take complete responsibility of it. I realized that I overlooked the exam, did not prepare well and above all I only read books without understanding the importance of practicing cases with others. It was a humble and eye-opening experience that taught me to never overlook things and always be vigilant, whatever the situation may be. I prepared for the exam not only by practicing various cases again and again, but also by practicing in simulated setup by attending private clinics and prepared myself for the worst scenarios. Because of which, I could pass Step 2 CS on my second attempt with a good performance in each
