This photoshoot took place to shine bright lights on the Nigerian Culture. It was in efforts that Nigerian culture would not be seen as being black rather than being a separate entity. The models of Nigerian culture who were photographed were seen to capture their culture through lens. They are seen to be proud of where they come from. On a different note, there are some Nigerians who end up immigrating to the United States and learn how to adapt to the United States circumstances. Many Nigerians adapt in different ways. Some adapt with other Nigerians who have also immigrated and tend to form their own community. Nigerians immigrate to the United States because they want to escape living in their homeland where poverty is half of its population. Government policies are unbeneficial to the community. Not to mention, the economy has been in a recession to the point of no return… at least not right now. Nigerians inspire to move to the United States to seek opportunities that they are not provided within their motherland. A lot of them choose to sacrifice culture and traditions to create a better lifestyle for their family. Some Nigerians choose to abandon what is routine for their culture to make a change in their society. Although the disadvantages of immigration are the many sacrifices that are made, they also have many advantages of achievements such as a successful future ahead of them and for future generations. With that being said, I want to leave you all with a thought.
