I hope when I am this age I can stay strong and keep God first. I want to still be the person to help others at work and in my community. I want to be a compassionate co-worker, employee and a friend to all. I will assume I will have children and they are in school by now. I want to pray, eat, and talk with my family together each day that I have with them. I want to build strong and healthy relationships with all my children. I hope me and my husband will always be remodels for our children and that our marriage will be focused on God. I want to be me most of all wiser, more compassionate, and more loving as I grow older. I want all that come into my life be touched by me and me touched by them.
There are many things that I hope to accomplish and do when I get older. I want to improve and accomplish different things for myself in my career that I choose, in my material goals, and spiritually. I'm looking at the year of 2009, I will be out of college and be on my feet, hopefully. I have high expectations for myself and hope to accomplish as many of my dreams and goals as I can throughout my life.
I am currently participating in student government, serving as Class Secretary and have been inducted into the National Honors Society.
In order to have many career goals, you first must have a career. Plus, in today’s economy, it is not as easy to obtain high-level job positions. Once you obtain a job, though, it will provide many merits and perks. My motivation for having this as one of my top career goals is to prove my skill as a reliable worker in an ever growing job force. I take pride in the work I do and always want it to represent me in the best way it can. I do not want to be lost in the endless sea of workers, I want to stand out from everyone else. I strive to be seen as a leader and innovator, and not a follower. Obtaining a job will help me achieve all this, and it will also allow me to start to make a change in my
My high school psychology course intrigued my desire to pursue psychology in college and the courses offered at State University furthermore solidified my interest to continue in this field. I took a particular interest in theories of personality and upon completing cognitive psychology, I wish to obtain a clinical neuropsychology certificate in conjunction with a doctor of psychology in clinical psychology.
Goals give you something to measure yourself against and give you direction. Currently, my main goal is to graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree of science in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. My anticipated time to graduation is five years with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Beyond getting my bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University, I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor focusing on prosthetics. In order to make my goals a reality, I will have to work diligently to remain on track throughout my schooling. Additional goals that I have set for myself are to complete homework assignments by the time they are due, reading assigned material before it is discussed in class, doing well in each of my courses this semester, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within both the engineering community and the general community. A world-class engineering student woul...
My personal career goal is to do Information Technology (IT) and how I’m going to achieve that goal is by going to a community college to start off with and then go to a four year college. When I get my Bachler’s degree I will go further into my career into helping my job fix computers when they are broken down. The process of deciding to pursue a career as an IT was is an easy one, but that process has helped me define my career goal, be realistic about what I want, and plan thoughtfully about how to reach my goals.
Pondering about my future, I was able to identify three goals to work towards to better my life. The first goal is personal, my fiancé and I have been trying to save for a house and a car and this is the year we are going to make the purchases. My second goal is professional, in the future, I would ideally like to be a social worker. However, thinking about the immediate future, I would like to find a job that will give me real world experience in my chosen field of study. Finally, my third goal pertains to my on-line education. My goal is to graduate on-time with honors, and I am willing to work arduously for it. As stated by MacLeod, “In order to reach a single goal, several enabling or supporting objectives usually have to be met”(2012). Therefore, a plan needs to be put in place in order to reach your goals successfully.
Everyone has goals they want to achieve. Everyone also knows it takes hard work and time to achieve them. I have two goals; I have a personal goal and academic goal. My personal goal is to get a scholarship for college. My academic goal is to get at least a 3.5 G.P.A as my accumulative G.P.A. If I get my G.P.A goal it may lead me to get more scholarships.
Academics have been extremely important to me for as long as I can remember, and continue to be. All throughout my K-12 education I worked hard and found school to be a coveted safe place away from my rough home life that I could thrive in. I graduated at Puyallup High School with an above average GPA and moved on to Pierce College in Puyallup where I earned my associates degree. I then got married within the week of my last final at Pierce College, and starting my first class at Central Washington University. I had planned it perfectly, and had moving, a three day honeymoon, and furniture shopping penciled into the hellish week as well.
As an adult, I have numerous personal goals. Most importantly, I would like to own a home. Also, I would like to pursue my interests of water-sports by owning a boat and my long love of cars by owning a sports car. Other personal interests that will affect my years after college are my love for the outdoors and the thrill of traveling to many new places throughout the world.
Ideally, I will have a couple of degrees, a steady job, and lots of travelling experiences. In regards to health, I hope that poor mental wellbeing does not burden me to the extent it does today. Whether I decide to take the appropriate steps for professional help or I have an epiphany that provides me with the necessary motivations in life, I want to be free from the strain mental illness causes. Hopefully, the future holds a sempiternal desire to make suitable lifestyle choices. I do not want to be overweight, unhealthy, and unhappy in 20 years. Although being an Olympian would be cool, I do not aspire to be an incredibly fit athlete, I just want to be in my best possible
Career Goals: I have narrowed in on three main career goals to complete at this time. First, I plan on staying at my current job at the Mayo Clinic as a QA Publication Specialist until my above educational goals are complete. It is important for me to stay with my current employer throughout my educational goals since my employer offers tuition reimbursement. This reimbursement is offered to every employee on a yearly basis. However, if one year of service is not completed after a reimbursement then all reimbursement money provided will need to be paid back in full. The tuition reimbursement covers about one quarter a year of my current education.
From the help of my teachers, family, and friends I have taken many of the necessary steps in completing my long and short term objectives. Because I have chosen to take hard classes in high school and get involved in numerous activities, I already have credit for many college classes. Another way that I am clearly prepared to achieve these goals set ahead of me is through the organization and responsibility of keeping up with my grades and getting college applications in on time. Ultimately, every educational and personal step in the right direction has been beneficial in finishing the goals I have set and preparing me for what lies
The next set of goal setting importance is my personal goals with the first being to over come the obstacles associated with returning to school.
