The program business and academic communication was split into two different parts academic and business. While in the business part we were asked to develop an imaginary business model within our new venture group. The most important duty was to form a professional business letter, and executive summary including the presentation for Dragon’s Den during our lecture, which was recorded and submitted through ‘present.me’ an online software. Sonia Bergman initiated with executive summary, while Christoffer Svensson and Philip Svenningsson wrote sales latter and financial consideration and I prepared PowerPoint presentation for the Dragons Den as well as for the Peer Review of the assignment. In a regular basis we met at university library to improvise our writing skills with the help of checklist available on PingPong.We started to write our documents in Google Docs which allowed all our team mates to work online, due to which we came up with an satisfied outcome with our own team effect . This approach made us time efficient as well as punctual in building the foundations for our assignments. We had only two or three group meetings, since there was no need of corrections as we improved ourselves in our progression period. Finally we presented the juicetruck business model to them and got a good feedback from the members of Dragons Den. We got opportunities to compare our work with other group’s design and presentation in this event and discovered our own talent which was hidden inside us. Writing is something I always struggled with throughout my academic career. Whether it is for the English class or any other liberal arts class, I have a tendency to deviate from the main task of writing. This semester I took a FIQWS Composition class which helped me explore the unexplored areas of my academic writing. According to Goddard and Walton (2012) the most crucial skills required by any person working with children are communication skills, this can be seen from the fact that communication heads the list of core skills required by practitioners in early years(CWDC, 2010 cited in Rose and Rogers, 2012). Introduction: I am working in a children’s ward at my local hospital as an EN, I need to discuss about effective communication with my 5 year old patient, every 5 year old is different; some have progressed in development more than others and some are behind in growth and development, my patient could have autism, asperger’s syndrome, down syndrome, he could be hearing or visually impaired, or come from a rough family background and might not have parents, all of these factors can greatly reduce effective communication with a child.

Interpersonal communication is one of the significant skills while communicating with other individuals. It normally covers an extensive area and includes both verbal and non-verbal communication. Body language and facial expression may affect the accurateness of the message transmission directly. Interpersonal communication skills normally ensure that the message is sent and received correctly without any alteration thus improving the communication efficiency. Learning diverse aspects of interpersonal communication has greatly aided me in better understanding of what it consists. I am capable of applying the knowledge gained from this course to my personal experiences. This paper reflects on my personal experience in learning interpersonal communication.
Lots of people thinks that they know themselves very well; they have a right way of communication, they know how to listen and respond to others, even emotional intelligence. Is this what you thought? I did. However after I have done my observe behavior interview to my friends, I believe that self-reflection is important to everyone to understand and improve our own communication styles.
Now the communication class is almost over I have realize how important is to have good communication skills, and how it is key to life. I have learned many things in this class for example ways to approach strangers.
