Abortion should be banned

An abortion results in the death of an embryo or a fetus. Abortion destroys the lives of helpless, innocent children. In many countries abortion is illegal. By aborting these unborn infants, humans are hurting themselves; they are not allowing themselves to meet these new identities and unique personalities. Abortion is very simply wrong. Everyone is raised knowing the difference between right and wrong. Murder is wrong, so why is not abortion? People argue that it is not murder if the child is unborn. Abortion is murder since the fetus being destroyed is living, growing and moving. Why is it that if an infant is destroyed months before the birth, there is no problem, but if killed a month after birth, this is inhumane murder?

In Roman times, abortion and the destruction of unwanted children was permissible, but as our civilization has aged, it seems that such acts are no longer acceptable by rational human beings.

For more than 30 years, the United States has been separated over the issue of abortion. Abortion is the deliberate killing of the most innocent nature among us, babies whom are not yet born. In 1973, abortion was legalized in the United States via the famous court case of Roe vs Wade. Roe was a single and pregnant woman who was fighting the state of Texas where the law stated she was not allowed to get an abortion. Roe won the case and abortion was legalized. Even though millions of abortions have been performed since 1973, the debate over whether it ever should have been legalized is strongly argued by many Americans, as well as people of many other countries and cultures. Today, the separation of the United States would be the “Pro-choice” group vs. the “Pro-life” group. Abortion is the biggest problem for Christianity today, and is completely against their religion. Abortion being legal is one of the worst parts about today’s society. It is going against the laws of the government yet they still allow it. Abortion should be illegal in the United States because it is unlawful and against human nature.

Laws that are against abortion kill women. The fact that abortion was prohibited in the earlier years didn't stop women from getting abortions. Several decades before abortion was legal in the U.S., nearly a million women chose to have illegal abortions annually. Thousands of women died and tens of thousands of women were either severely wounded or mutilated. This horrendous disaster occurred when women felt it was absolutely necessary to take the risks, even the risks of dying. Even though abortion is legal in the United States it should be considered murder. The heart and brain are one of the first things to develop on the newborn baby, which can conclude that the baby has feelings (“Surgical Abortions”). A surgeon and a baby can be equivalent to a mechanic and the car it is working on, it is their job to get the car out and running in one piece. The difference between the car and the baby is that a car comes in parts and can be easily taken apart like most machines. All vehicles have multiple parts to them that can be taken away or can be added to them. But, once a child is taken away, they are gone forever, that specific child can never be brought back into the world unlike a machine such as a car. A single celled organism is considered a life; therefore, an unborn fetus should be considered a life as well. Sometimes, the circumstances surrounding a pregnancy may be tragic. Perhaps the woman was raped and became pregnant, the baby had been diagnosed with a defect, or the woman’s health might be at risk. Accordingly so, making an abortion seem like it may be okay due to those tragic events. However, one tragedy will not answer these problems with another one occurring. Murdering could be easily defined as killing somebody who does not want to be killed, as well as, cannot speak for one selves (Dictionary).

An abortion is the process of ending a pregnancy by a medical or surgical procedure. (“Abortion” par. 1). Abortion was legalized in 1973 (“Abortion” par. 19). Abortions affect every person involved. The main people it affects is the mother and the baby (fetus). There are many issues involved in getting an abortion like; The medical issues the mother and baby could go through, The moral issue of when life really begins, and the issue of should it be a choice for the mother to make.

Abortion is the “ending of a pregnancy before the fetus (unborn child) can live independently outside the mother” (Brown, 2013). Abortion is raised as an issue in many countries across the world if it should be legalized or not. In Canada, abortion is legal with no restrictions (Arthur, 1999). According to the Center of Reproductive Rights, 60% of the world’s population lives in countries where abortion is allowed or accepted by some reason and 26% of the world’s population lives where abortion is not accepted (Reproductive rights, 1992). Abortion raises many questions about the rights of a woman, the father, the fetus, moral ethics and sexuality. Everyone has different views regarding abortion whether they are looking from the point view from the society, culture, or as a human being. Abortion is defined as the deliberate termination of a pregnancy, usually before the embryo or fetus is capable of independent life. Why is this not classified as murder? If one human being is killed by another human being that is considered murder. Abortion is an extremely controversial issue because as some people who are pro choice believe that it should be a woman 's choice to have an elective abortion, others who are pro life are completely against the killing of a innocent human. I personally think that abortion is morally and ethically wrong.

Every time a baby is conceived it is another miracle God has given to us. But lately the miracles God has given to us, have been destroyed. Since 1973, when abortion was legalized in the United States, more than 57 million babies have been destroyed violently in some way. These pre-born babies have been denied their most basic right of all, the right to life. By being denied their right to life, the Declaration of Independence calls this an unalienable right. In the United States alone there is about 2.3 abortions taking place every minute of the day. Just think that is 137 abortions per hour and 2,900 abortions in one single day ("Abortion Statistics”). As a young petrified woman sits in the delicate comforting oversized chairs at the deathly abortion clinic, her foot taps anxiously out of control as her heart pumps the blood rapidly through her veins. The energized brain in haste flashes with all of the complications that may happen during this abortion process. As her eyes dart back and forth looking all around the bland room as if everything is standing still, she worries about the abortion which will be taking place any single moment,. This young woman has a major abundance of stress and choices to formulate about her unspoken significant baby before going through with the life changing abortion. An abortion as defined in Merrian Webster’s bulky dictionary as the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus. In simpler terms, it is described as a doctor performing deathly surgery on a woman’s fetus by extracting a baby from it, causing the baby to soon after die. Daily women are faced with the arduous and complex decision on whether to encompass the baby or obtain an abortion which can change the mother’s life forever including the child’s. Each child deserves to make an impact on the world by placing their hands and feet upon many hearts and make a difference. Having abortion become illegal will protect the woman from problems and protect the child’s dreams of living and making differences. Abortions in the United States of America stand strong against having abortions be legal, not knowing all of the problems abortions cause. With having an abortion, countless amounts of problems arise that will remain and haunt the woman forever resulting in an intricate life.

The words of an unborn baby are ones that almost no one ever thinks of, or hears. One of this country's most controversial topics is abortion. However, if one sees the constitutional infringement to women by the restriction of abortion; the torment to the unwanted child; and the anguish society has to sustain, then this topic would not be so debatable. Too many people do not see the effect that abortions cause. It is a very dangerous offence that affects the mother, father, the community, and most importantly, the fetus, and that is why abortion should be illegal in Canada. First, abortion is against God’s law in many Holy books such as the Bible and the Quran. Secondly, abortion does not only affect the individual, but the community as a whole, and the rights of those people are infringed on. However, abortion does nothing in the cases of rape, or women’s rights, which is the constant argument people in favour of abortion argue. And lastly, abortion should be seen for what it is, murder.

The main problem in the world is inevitable abortion. Because it is about morality; which people tend pay more attention. Nowadays, Abortion is a controversial problem as people think of appropriateness. However, Abortion is necessary in many cases. Three main reasons why abortion should be banned are condition that women are not pregnancy, health problem in mother, and social problem.

Abortion is one of America’s most controversial subjects. The participants in this debate have fixed beliefs on the matter at hand. On one side of the debate are people who believe in pro- choice. They argue that choice of a woman is more important than an unborn fetus. They point out that an unborn child is not on the same level of importance as the mother. Also, the pro-life group declares that choice is the sole purpose behind their argument. They believe that if a woman cannot chose to abolish a pregnancy, then she looses one of her basic human rights. The other side of the debate is the pro-life group. Their main concern is that the fetus is a person; therefore, having the same human rights as the mother. As a result, when states pass laws that enable abortions, these states are legalizing murder. When considering an individual’s ethics and values, killing is morally wrong. Therefore, the termination of unborn children is wrong, as well. Abortion, the unethical expulsion of an embryo or fetus, in order to purposely end a pregnancy, should be forbidden because human life begins at conception, economics is not a justification for abortion, and an unwanted child does not justify abortion.
