Abortion not only ends the life of the child before it has a chance but has health-related issues such as sterility and premature births. Life begins at the moment of conception, and an innocent life shouldn’t be ended due to parent’s lack of financial stability. This problem can be fixed by outlawing abortion. Abortion by definition is the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus. Abortion ends life, and causes many health related issues for the mother. Abortion ends the life of an unborn child before it has a chance at life. Arguments have been made that the fetus is not a child nor alive until it’s born, however, according to biology life is a distinctive characteristic of a living organism from dead organism or non-living thing, as specifically distinguished by the capacity to grow, metabolize, respond (to stimuli), adapt, and reproduce. A fetus is a living organism, grows inside the womb, it does respond and adapt to its environment. The fetus also has cells dividing and reproducing which makes it a living being according to biology, which is the study of living things. Therefore, abortion is ending the life of an unborn child. Abortion also has several health-related issues such as sterility. Sterility is the quality or condition of being sterile which means not being able to conceive a child. Therefore a woman that had once terminated a pregnancy has a higher chance of sterility in the near future. So when the time comes that she may want to conceive and keep the child, she may not do so. So not only are you terminating the life of a previous child, but possibly preventing yourself from a future wanted pregnancy.
