Conception is where life begins, meaning unborn babies are human beings with a right to live. In accepting the case Roe v. Wade from 1973 through 2011, there were close to 53 million legal abortions that were executed in the United States, averaging out to about 1.4 million abortions per year. Looking at 2008 abortion rates, about three in every ten US women under the age of 45 will have an abortion. All forms of abortion should be banned because it is taking the life of an innocent human being, violates the rights of the unborn child, and hypothetically could harm the parent’s relationship with their family. No matter how early you are planning to get an abortion, you are killing that baby. After only 18 days after conception the baby has a heart-beat. And then the baby develops ears eyes and a tongue at only 28 days. The baby is able to make normal body movements at only 45 days. At only eight weeks all the babies organs are developed. At 12 weeks the baby’s gender is established, and at just 18 weeks the baby can dream. But the rest of the states will perform abortions from 20 weeks up until the last second before birth. There are nine states that have no time restriction on when an abortion can happen.
